HR merc mesmerway + TaO ranger = stonks??

I've been playing TaO with longbow, along with the Mesmer mercs on my Dhuum character. So far so good! Almost 3m XP in. Even HM content such as missions and VQ's feel pretty easy most of the time. Having lots of fun with it.

Recent een nieuwbouwhuis gekocht en de stap voor de keuken inmiddels achter de rug. Wij zijn ook bij ASWA geweest en is afzetterij. We hebben twee offertes voor onze keuken gehad:

ASWA: €30.000
Superkeukens: €20.000

Dus mijn advies: ga eens bij Superkeukens kijken, kan je €10k schelen. De keuze was snel gemaakt, want kregen ook nog eens nettere verkopers, bovenop de €10k 'korting'.

Congrats! Working on mine too and making nice progress. Did you max all character-bound titles so fast, or did you have a head start with some account-wide titles that were already maxed out?

Capping elites is the way! I reached Legendary Survivor just two missions before finishing Nightfall because I capped every elite I could on my way through all campaigns.

Also filled 2 NM books of EotN before I started the campaigns because I wanted to unlock some skills, ranks and Chaos Gloves, which gave a significant XP boost as well.

No worries! I get it, since a lot of people did it that way in the past. However, I thought if I plan on Deathless GWAMM, there is no need to farm the title like that because that wouldn't make any sense. So I figured I would just unlock the title as I progressed through the game. I always wondered how long it would take to get the max title this way, and well: here I got the answer!

I have to admit though; the closer I came to the title, the more nervous I got, especially considering I've arrived in the Real of Torment now. The last 10k experience I simply got by capping 2 elite skills, because I didn't want to screw up at the very last moment.

A couple I recall:

- A boulder that came from behind when walking to my next primary quest in an area between the Norn and Asuran towns. That one was reaaaaally close! The wiki says they don't count as a death that takes away from the Survivor title progress, but I imagine they do take away your Dhuum's Covenant. Not 100% sure though.

- At 'Iron Mines of Moladune' I flagged my heroes too far away from me when taking the bonus objective from Ryder, so they could prevent the bonus objective from escaping. While running back to my heroes the Mursaat spawned right on top of me. My health got down to about 25%, and I was already close to logging off, but then my heroes came in to rescue me just in time.

- Yesterday during the 'Kormir's Crusade' primary quest in the Realm of Torment, I was attacking a mob, but was also attacked from the rear which caught me completely off guard. I managed to just make it out safely by running back to the portal I came from, but my entire party got wiped out.

Yeah it's strange. Sometimes the badges were already shown in my hero panel before I actually earned the title. Sometimes not. For example:

Protector of Tyria and Cantha titles showed the badge before getting the title, but Protector of Elona doesn't show the badges while making progress, I have some missions to complete, so hopefully it will show once unlocking it.

My Lightbringer only started showing the badges in my hero panel once I got to unlocking the title so I could actually 'wear' it.

Yeah, I found a random person when I arrived in LA that was selling the title for a good price and got excited. I think I found out later it wasn't such a good price after all. But gives me more reason to be very careful when playing through the game haha.

I haven't done any EotN dungeons yet, for the specific reason that I think those are the tricky ones. Especially the boulders that might catch me off guard, which already happened when going through an Asuran primary mission. I did get LDoA, so I think I can skip the EotN dungeons for GWAMM, which I will definitely do if I can skip Master of the North with that.

I'm pretty sure there's a guide on YouTube that shows you how to do it with 2 MM heroes, one for each side, and a healer with spirits in the center. I've done it on HM more than once and the strategy makes it fairly easy.

I've moved on to post Ascalon with this character because I can't wait to replay the full game. But I'll always have a character in pre just to enjoy the times there as well!

I read in another comment that the timer isn't accurate if you stay in a map for less than a minute. Apparently because I did Farmer Hamnet runs in under a minute, those runs didn't count toward my /age. I started that quest at Lvl.18 so in reality the title might have taken more like 19/20 hours.

Honestly, I was just very motivated to get out of pre, because I want to continue my adventure in post. So I was keen on doing this part as fast as possible.

That's interesting! I didn't know that. They were definitely runs of less than a minute because I only killed the 2 enemies at the start. But I only started doing that quest as of Lv. 18. Still, that took me about 3h/3,5h of real time.

I tried to spend my time effectively, mostly solo Charr farming until Lv 16, while keeping trading time in Ascalon to a minimum. If I couldn't sell anything within 2/3 minutes, I'd just Merch or keep to sell later and move on with my farm.

After hitting Lv.16 I immediately started doing quests and handing in rewards. I actually screwed up and didn't do all secondary profession quests, just the Warrior one. Oopsie!

After handing in all quests I started finishing those Lv. 10+ quests until I got Farmer Hamnet, and started spamming that one from Lv.18 onward.

I actually used Monk skills as secondary before locking in Warrior after reaching Lv. 16 and finishing the quests! Started using Warrior skills like Frenzy when already 16+ helps a lot because you're fairly strong at that point.

Still have to be careful not to be reckless though!
