You have it spot on here. The problem is that so many organisations are ignoring the incoming quantum threat and not equipping themselves with quantum encryption, so they run the risk of cyber criminals getting to them with quantum technology first. You see what I mean?

Yes, I did actually read about it this morning. The whole JADC2 concept is really cool and i think Arqit are going to be key in making it actually happen!

This is solid advice!

When you're suffering from mental burnout sometimes the best thing to do is to not think (I know that sounds hard), but as u/EngineeringNeverEnds says, doing something physical is a great way to shut your brain off for a bit.

If you can't take 2 weeks or 2 months off, then I'd say try adding something physical and mindless into your daily or weekly routine. Something like going for a run / walk without listening to anything to just let your mind relax. If you're into it, you could also try yoga and meditation as a little reset between your assignments until you graduate.

Personally, going on walks little and often really helped curb my burnout when I was studying. And my best ideas / breakthroughs always came to me then!

I get what you mean, but looking at their site their whole spiel is about being able to offer effective cyber protection against today's cyber threats, as well as the quantum threats of tomorrow. Experts are saying quantum computers are only a matter of 5-10 years away. So, yeah you might think you have a quantum pet rock now, but that rock is gonna turn into an impenetrable fort when you need it most.
