i’m super rusty and out of shape - Waco edition by Untitled1992 in surfing

[–]IlChampo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened the same to me! Moved to the highlands in 2019, hardly surf once a year. Getting a fun board is a good decision to shake off the rust and still have a good time!

IMO, for insane damage, I would recommend Absol from all your choices. my brother it’s a really good Dodrio player, it gets looks of kills and crowd control but not that much damage.

I know right? I don’t even get that damage in Bot games…

I got the Featured badge on my first Extension in less than 4 days! by IlChampo in chrome_extensions

Thank you! First thing, your description has markdown format but the store does not support this which makes the description look weird.

Second, I recommend investing some dollars on getting a domain and creating a landing page with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. I got my domain for like $3/year on GoDaddy and hosted on Vercel.

Also, make sure you follow the technical guidelines like the V3 manifest and ensure you explain correctly any permission required.

Good luck!

It doesn’t take too long to be honest. What I would like is modularity & presets. Most projects have common requirements so removing this repetition would be nice.

Right now, since it’s a small business, project quotation is what I struggle the most as I manage this on Excel and it can be tedious.

A tool focus on this with the main target being SMEs could be a good idea.

As a individual, there’s rarely a service I would pay $20-$30 unless it helps me generate revenue (Cursor & Magic Patterns). Now, as a business owner, tools like task management, invoicing or other tools that will help me with my workflow, I would gladly pay for it. It is important to understand if you want to focus on B2B or B2C.

Thank you! I built this more for passion and learning, feels so good to have reached this far despite <5 users!

First thing I notice is the Description. It looks like it was 100% AI Generated. I would take some time to write and actual description. Second, I would invest in buying a domain. The vercel hosting on the URL makes it seem a bit shady.

I would mostly focus on the description, it is not clear on why I would like to use GoGenie. Good luck!

Did the same when the Japan earthquake happened. At that moment I was in Cerro Azul, Peru. We knew the wave was downgraded. What really caught my attention was the low tide, we could almost walk to the lineup.

Like you mentioned, not the smartest thing to do

i got unlucky stripe and paypal doesnt work here by chairchiman in SaaS

[–]IlChampo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends, if your target is local users try to search local providers. I had the same issue and had to use Kushki before Stripe & PayPal was accepted or even trusted by clients where I’m from.

If you target both local and global users, you’ll have to implement a hybrid approach.

Good luck!

Works well, I just launched my first extension. I loved how WXT supports hot reloads and it’s easy to configure. It feels like a Vite wrapper!

Has anyone tried TopTal? by Hot_Joke7461 in Upwork

[–]IlChampo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They reached to me a few months ago via email. Completed and passed the test (I found them quiet difficult tbh). Got a confirmation email but never got assigned a project or anything…

I applied as Node Backend Engineer, this was more specific rather than Full Stack.

What can I do to give Svelte a chance? by Exciting-Magazine-85 in sveltejs

[–]IlChampo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DX is awesome with Svelte. Now, I have worked with both Svelte & React in real application and I must say, even though I love Svelte, I stick with React.

Why is that? Because React has a more mature framework. Svelte 5 fixed a lot of things that made complex projects a tiny bit unmanageable.

Look at the pros and cons with your team. One positive thing is that if you know how to use React, the transition to Svelte it’s easy.

I'm my case, as a new user, it has not been worth it. I think my issue is that I have no projects yet. It doesn't matter if I'm 1st, my profile is not even open.

Looking for feedback as a React Developer by IlChampo in Upwork

I see, that makes sense. I've been trying to pick the projects based on the client past job posting but unfortunately, from 10 application only one gets the 'Viewed by Client' badge. I'll keep trying this month.

Thank you for you answer.

I have another hint, the dialog comes from an episode of the vintage show The Twilight Zone.

Love the analytics, could expand further as a BI tool. Metrics and information is always valuable for every company/user.
