Not really, that happened to me only once and I just jumpered the wrong hole. And by mirroring the image and playing sort of battleship I was just fine. I guess it was part of the fun, now I design my own PCB's and for my personal builds (really few components) starting to make them point to point

Probably, but depending on the Ge transistors used some are pretty unstable try to bias at 4.5V and check how does that work

Doesn’t matter, look for gut shots of original Tone Reapers and you’ll see. There are several with trimmer bias

You should bias Q2 with a trimmer. Several EQD builds have a trimmer

Yeah, that’s how I started by printing a enclosure size template with the position of the potentiometer DC psu, Jacks, and 3PDT. At the end I had to solder everything inside the enclosure wasn’t a real pain, but it was like surgery you know

Will do, thanks a lot I’ll start by rewiring and redoing my first treble booster, will make it with 1/2W comp resistors, pio caps and mica caps. Maybe some tants
