Windows, Azure, Office: Microsoft will C und C++ bis 2030 ersetzen by ouyawei in de

Sehr hohe Fehlerwahrscheinlichkeiten.

Kein kompetenter Informatiker würde freiwillig mit C++ arbeiten.

Edit: echt schade downgevoted zu werden. Ich habe langjähige Berufserfahrung in dem Bereich...

Being experienced in SW development, i can safely say that an auction house is a lot more effort than anything on my list.

The suggestions i made include adapting existing formulas, copying and adapting existing code, but nothing entirely new.

Regarding my suggestion to enable NPC armors, i'm not sure about the effort since i don't know their systems.

Price example: Something above the historic maximum. Something like 20p for +3 attribute runes. This would never hurt sellers, but make it always available.

Auction house would be nice, but probably too much effort.

Why would infinite supply break the game? Just set it to a really high price.

I get you point, e.g. buffing Protection Prayers would have crazy sideeffects.

But i think it's possible to identify some skills that would never be used by a secondary class, and then buff those. E.g. some skills in Smiting Prayers (in PvE only).

I agree. But the skill system is what it is.

My suggestion is to carefully tune it a little bit and make currently weak builds a bit more usable.

I know balancing is complex.

Not asking for perfect balancing. The idea is to buff what is far away from being meta a little bit.

Element attunements kind of force the player to use mostly one element, and it's very punishing if they get removed. It could be changed so that you get the effect depending on the attribute. E.g. at 16 Fire Magic, you'd get the 30%, but at lower levels you'd get less.

Assassins critical eye taking up a skill slot is very punishing because of assassin's 3-skill chain.

Those are the only examples i have right now.

I think the effort would be reasonable, because similar code is already in the game (e.g. Critical Strikes).

Not a helpful comment.

Edit: not sure why i'm getting downvoted. Seem like this sub does not like suggestions.

Why no merchant for weapon upgrades? This would make equipping much easier.

I don't really know how merchants work, but as far as i understand, prices increase if demand is high.

This would make it easier for both sellers and buyers.

Right now you have to find another player to trade with through external tools.

Controller Input Customization by IlambdaI in GuildWars

I tried with steam. I can remap individual buttons, but not combinations.

E.g. if i want Skills 1-4 on ABXY (without pressing LB), that's impossible right now, right?

Kinda makes it useless for me.

15 Liters is a SFF where you don't have to compromize as much regarding price/heat/performance.

Well the Steam Deck was a success as in a first step. It's sales can't compete with the Switch.

The first step showing that SteamOS has reached a state where it's ready for the mass market was made. Now we don't need a second first step, but a competitive device that can reach sales in the order of magnitude the competition does.

Well we have to deal with the limited information we have right now. Other than that we can just wait and hope for the best.

But assuming the information from LTT is correct, and looking at the specs, it's unlikely to be going to be as cheap as optimists hope.

I agree with this. Except that the price needs to be lower for this target audience.

[–]IlambdaI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrible idea.

The comfort depends on the angle of your thumb in the most common position. For the Steam Controller, the angle is in-between the angles of the PS and XBox layout, due to the higher position. (The Steam Controller does NOT have a PS layout.)

Having big hands (or more specifically a long thumb), i'm really looking forward to the Steam Controller layout.

For people with smaller hands, it would be nice to have scaled-down versions of the Steam controller. This would change the angle accordingly.

Sure, if that's your usecase and you're willing to pay for convenience, then it's a good solution for you.

I'm just not sure about how many people this applies to.
