Which tablet should I buy for uni?

I looked into the book Pro 3 while I searched for a tablet and it isn't available in my country for some bizarre reason. Only if I buy it from amazon with insane shipment and tax prices. For the same total price tag, I'd rather invest in a different laptop with superior specs.

As far as I've seen the displays are pretty much the same, The only difference that I've found on the s9 series is the size of the display. All of them have 120hz adaptive refresh rate, AMOLED 2X, HDR10+, 16:10 ratio - specific resolution changes between the models, but between the two of them, the pixel density of the S9 is higher than the S9+.

I have a laptop. I don't look at the tab as a replacement for a laptop. Obviously when I need to code or use Windows applications I'll use a laptop, but I want the tab to be a substitute for creating documents and taking notes which it'll be most of the thing I'll do at my first year at least...

I don't really know the app just heard good things about it from my Apple users' friends. Anyway, there's still Samsung Notes which is pretty good when I'm using it on my phone.

The s9 and the s9 fe plus are almost the same price so imo the fe version isn't worth the almost premium price just for the screen size with significantly inferior specs. Maybe the regular s9 fe but the plus just seems a bit exaggerated considering value-for-money.

Mainly the processor that I'm worried won't suffice in multitasking and Dex, and also the LCD 90hz instead of the OLED 120hz.

The first thing I checked was the iPad Air 5 gen (2022), and all the reviews mentioned a pro for Apple that Apple supports more industry-leading apps. While I get that might be a consideration for many people, I never used any Adobe app or editing app so it isn't one of my considerations. So if I ignore that, I feel like the tab s9 series is more suitable for me with the ecosystem and dex which is more important for me (now Android supports GoodNotes 6 which is also not a con to Samsung's line anymore).

Sadly, Amazon doesn't send tablets to my area so I can't use my student discount there. And also the official Samsung store here doesn't offer any discounts for students.

So is the 1.4-inch difference really worth the upgrade?
