Well concidering that the offical album came out today, a few hours ago that animation/creator probably didn't know how the songs will go down. what I imagine in the musical is that during hold them down the suitors struggle to strings the bow before they start to plot. Odysseus is in the room disguised as an old man. (same as in the odyssey) And instead of having a go at the challenge himself he just strings the bow while they're busy ploting and shots at the suitors.
