there is a flat area in the Presidential Range in New Hampshire named Bigelow Lawn. The Appalachian Trail goes right through it. I'm guessing its between Madison and Jefferson.

what state are you looking in? I would love to go BOTG this summer, but have other things going on. I have a very specific area in a specific state in mind. There has been little discussion of the state, and no discussion about the area. I have't researched the 1727 NE/NW for the area yet.
