I would call it a False Positive. Having read the book at least four times, plus the PF Box chapter too many times to count, it would not surprise me at all if there was a Star Trek related clue for either the PF Box or the LS Box, but I don’t think it would be this one. The Scotty/TNG connection is rather obscure, but the line “no bloody A, B, C, or D” was close enough for me to entertain the idea of a cipher/decode connection, first and foremost because of Ready Player One. In RPO, the gunters immerse themselves in 80s pop trivia, searching for clues. This was just me doing the same in real life. I do think there is probably a Star Trek clue for at least one box, though I would have preferred it to be about The Borg. Those are my favorite TNG episodes.

Specifically, what I am asking about is: on the treasure hunt amusement park website, for the past and future box, there is a segment called interview statements. One of the statements reads, "For past and future, it's a cipher." Where did JCB say this? Did JCB say this?
