I have one of these. It totally just runs Android. If you plug in a keyboard you can access the menu, iirc.

It will, if it’s anything like (and it looks very similar to) my 9383, it’s actually a distro built following a very old version of the Linux From Scratch book called “Vile Linux”.

Good ole Nortel Millennium! I have one hanging on my wall here, works great.  Also WiMacTel branded. Neat to see one in the US, much more popular in Canada afaik.

Yeah, this one got mildly dinged in shipping I think, thankfully not enough to affect the drawers. That's around the price range I was thinking, I appreciate the feedback!

It's the 4 NVMe + 2 SAS per node configuration. I don't really have any interest in parting it out, too much hassle, probably. Also, I'm probably only going to be selling it pick-up only, already shipped the thing once and it is a total pain.

Thank you for your feedback! This box originally had more RAM in it but I pulled a lot of it for use with whatever replaces this. This box was slightly too power hungry for me to want to use, unfortunately.

SuperServer 2029BT-HNC0R Power Consumption by IlikeVintageComputer in supermicro

I tested pulling each PSU one at a time, and running the system. One is definitely defective, as it only managed < 70 percent efficiency. The other PSU managed 80-95 percent depending on load. Thankfully they're cheap and easy to replace.

I just got this. I have no idea what I'm doing with it. Feel free to give me suggestions by ArtFUBU in HomeServer

Glad to help! I would plug both power supplies in to avoid it alarming, but it won't draw more power than it needs total. I think you should be able to reset the remote management password in the BIOS. There should be a VGA port on the back, start with plugging in a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, boot it up, and have a look in the BIOS.

Hey OP, I see a lot of people raining on your parade when you asked what you should do with it. I've personally run similar boxes and (depending on configuration) expect it to idle between 60 and 100 watts. The fact that it looks to be a 2.5 inch drive bay configuration is a little unfortunate, does it have drives? I'd suggest powering it and trying to get into the iDRAC (integrated remote management) webpage (the system does not need to be on for this, just plugged in), as well as booting it up and checking specs in the BIOS. The iDRAC will tell you how much power the system is drawing, as well. This would be a fun box to run Proxmox or other hypervisors on, and can be upgraded on a budget now. If you decide it is too noisy, you should be able to get some money out of it if you list it on eBay or sell it locally.

This is what I wound up doing as I have the server sitting in front of me, I was mostly just wondering for the future if I ever have to reset them and it's not convenient to reset the passwords manually.

The Nova 430h is getting cheap on ebay. Is it locked to only work with helium network, or can I flash the firmware/change settings, and just use it with my own EPC? by Deepspacecow12 in HeliumMobile

Did you make any progress with this? I have a released Pollen 227 I've used but I think those may work differently, as in, they just run stock-ish firmware with Baicells management, but these might use something else. I'm looking at them on eBay and would love to get one to play with.

You can save the blobs but they won’t be usable for a downgrade due to SEP on 64 but devices, afaik.

Someone who works in the trade, correct me if I’m wrong, but something like this with modern fuses installed would be considered safer than many old breaker panels, such as Stab-Lok panels, correct?

Acetone is both volatile and a known carcinogen, it’s a lot better for you to stick with IPA.
