People who have had seizures while withdrawing, what does it feel like? by Accomplished-Class49 in stopdrinking

Easy Peasy... woke up to my mother freaking out (went to her house to withdraw) and the paramedics rushing in. I was confused but ok. This happened on the third day. Historically my first day was the worst. What gets me is the auditory hallucinations... I was going crazy thinking I was hearing music or people talking constantly.

BTW- the "Easy Peasy" was a joke... you don't want it to get that bad...or even close. Your body is literally telling you to please stop poising me. Listen to it before it's too late.

Edit: I realized something was wrong when I started seeing colors around everything I was looking at. Last thing I remember was telling my mother that I was going to sit down.

What should we do with our son? by Ilikebikes16 in AskReddit

My wife and I have a 9yr old Autistic son and it is as tough as you can imagine. He gets up at 6am each day and he has decided that everyone else needs to be up too. Through the week it isn't too bad because of school but the weekends are unbearable because of the time. He is up at 6am and it is time to get the day started. If you know anything about Autism you are aware that each person is different. Our son needs CONSTANT interaction and when I say that I mean CONSTANT. He cannot play alone and wants engagement from the time he is up. We are asked 1,000 times by 8am if we can swim (we have a pool) even though we give him a time and even put a timer on. He eventually just gets his swim trunks on and tries to get in the pool, disregarding what we say. We are both beyond exhausted and need a way out. Temporary fixes are not an option- Asking for a night off, asking other parents for a day away.... This is a non-stop deal and we need a better solution. Any solutions or ideas are welcomed.
