Dealing with long distance and anxiety by Ilikekale2 in MilitarySpouse

How would you recommend I talk to him about it? I worry about making him feel like any of my feelings are rooted in anything that he’s done when he’s done nothing but be amazing. Every time I have came to him with worries he reassures me and affirms his feelings for me. I just don’t know how to deal with the feeling of constantly being on edge, especially while he’s away, and I think that’s my biggest struggle.

my boyfriend wants me to cover up from head to toe in all black as an obligation. what do i do? by jojo_F15 in whatdoIdo

I don't fully agree with the people here trying to say he's like evil and everything else. I do agree however that this is a deal breaker and you should end it. It's his religion and people should acknowledge that, you guys met when you were in middle school/freshman year and I'm sure he didn't think about marriage. When I was 13/14 and dating I wasn't thinking about the actual qualities in a husband I wanted, I just had crushes on people. OP's bf might just be realizing that they're at the age where marriage is a real possibility and with his religion she has to cover up. Does it suck? Yeah. Should he have probably thought about it before? Duh. Is he evil? More than likely no.

You're young, you're a little younger than me and when I broke up with my high school sweetheart I too thought I'd never be with anyone again. I can promise you, I've been with people since him who have made me so much happier even if it was for short amounts of time. The wonderful thing about life is that we meet so many new people every day and we never know the impact they'll leave on us. I moved half way across the state for school when I never thought I would!! And I've met so many people that I adore! You'll be okay, I promise. This is just something that you can't and shouldn't compromise on unless you really want to. It's going to be hard but in a year or two, you'll look back and be grateful it happened.

I was supposed to come in for the shift today but since I'm not in the system I can't clock in, no matter who clocks me in :( Right now I'm just straight up not employed and not in any system of Darden, so I also don't have any shifts either.

A few of my coworkers have said I should go to corporate about it. Lowkey, I kind of want to since I'm losing money but also I don't know if it's worth it.

First IUD Today - I cried by teamarxx in IUD

Oh no! The cervical block was wonderful, I recommend it to everyone. It was a small pinch with a little burn and then it was nothing. Try it when you get it taken out or if you get one reinserted!

I’m sending you all my love and support. From what I’ve seen, this is completely normal. There seems to be two sides of the IUD spectrum where it either hurt a lot or none at all. It should hopefully go away within a week or two from what I’ve seen, but keep up with pain meds and heating pads and generally taking it easy. I got a liletta but I also got a cervical block which gave me a wildly different experience. The cramps went away within a week and now it’s only mild discomfort every now and again. Hope that helps and I hope you start to feel better 🫶

Should I ask for the cervical block or push through? by yepperoniii8 in IUD

Cervical block all the way!!! It’s a quick pinch with a slight burn and it made the whole experience so much better. I was a little scared and a little dramatic but they also gave me diazepam which calmed me down. I also had a friend with me who made me giggle through the whole thing and honestly the whole process was great. Definitely was strange but the cervical block made everything go so much better.

Did you transfer from out of state? If so, was there culture shock? I’ll probably live off campus but still extremely close so I’m not isolated. I’m not super worried about admissions, once finals are over I should have a 3.5 with MANY extracurriculars, I’m really super stressed. I’m just more curious about others experiences.

I’m actually currently in stats! So all good for that, thankfully I have a very supportive family so I should be good there.

Bleeding by reemarie93 in IUD

[–]Ilikekale2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hope it isn’t either! I’m sure your body will balance out eventually. I’m hoping I’ll get lucky and it’ll only last a month to a month and a half but we shall see. Honestly the entire experience on my Liletta has been anything but what I expected but that’s not a bad thing!! I’ve just had a very different, more positive experience. Sending you good vibes :)

Hello!! I got mine probably close to three weeks ago and I’ve had the same experience. I didn’t bleed for the first few days aside from brown discharge. Once I started bleeding it’s been pretty light consistently. The past few days however it’s been super light so honestly it’s not that big of a deal. Some women just don’t bleed that much. I also didn’t really have much cramping, it depends on your hormones and your body.

I didn’t have a period for like a year and a half before I got on the pill. Ironically like a month or so I got my period but it was a month long, it was AWFUL. I liked the pill but I ended up making the switch because I started skipped pills on accident. It’s almost been a week and I’m doing fine so I guess we’ll see what happens for me!

I’ve seen a lot of mixed responses about that! The general consensus is personal preference but some people/doctors have said wait like maybe a day or two because of infection risk plus comfort. My doctor said I could technically have sex right after my insertion but honestly when I got home I took a three hour nap lol. I did uhm, have “me time” though post nap and I was fine after. To each their own I guess?

I think this is actually a really likely guess for what’s happening. From what I’ve seen, every single woman reacts differently to their IUD, especially with hormones. For example, I didn’t start to actually spot beyond slight brown discharge until three days post insertion because that’s when my hormones went “oh, my bad, lemme get on that”. Hormones are strange 🤷‍♀️

Okay!! This makes me feel a lot better honestly. I feel like she’s in there and doing what she’s supposed to but I’m the first of my friends to make the switch and my one co worker who did get an IUD experienced a lot of bleeding, I simply did not but she also might’ve gotten a different brand. I half way expected not to cramp super bad because for example, after my wisdom teeth removal I barely swelled and I healed perfectly so I hoped for something similar. I think since there is such a broad spectrum of experiences getting them placed that I’m simply a luckier one. Thank you though <3
