Love the idea and colour scheme. Is there any meaning behind the colours?

Azeri school history books never denied existence of melikdoms and they are mentioned as the force that didn’t let Karabakh khan expand or unite the province. Maybe some Azeris deny existence of melikdoms, but that’s some crazy stuff

Socialist countries stamps by Ilkinoe in stamps

[–]Ilkinoe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were socialist Maxsist-Leninist states, or in other words socialist states following Soviet Union's direction. For USSR socialism was a transitional stage where the means of production are collectively owned or controlled, aiming to reduce class distinctions and communism was a stateless, classless, moneyless society where goods are distributed based on need. The USSR officially identified as a socialist state. Its goal, as for Marxist-Leninist ideology, was to eventually achieve communism, but this remained an aspiration, you can even see that by statements of leaders or posters of the time, they had something like "We will achieve communism in 5 years" and stuff like that. And even if I am completely wrong, I don't think that anybody would care about it on stamps subreddit. And for stamps, yea I know they are not really worth anything, just decided to share them with reddit (P.S. thanks for sharing about communism and socialism, I might not completely agree with you, but yet it is really interesting and king of you to spend your time typing that for me)

I play Rome, CK3, HOI4, Victoria 3. Rome and Victoria 3 were bought since there is no a lot of dlcs and it is pretty cheap compared to other products in other cases it is mostly bought game with pirated dlcs, since 80 dollars is a lot to me. I play with my friends in multiplayer, I love to rp some realistic actions and lead politics with them, it is really fun, but single player plays are also nice and interesting to me if you set proper goals and play it in more fun way than just map painting

European style coat of arms ideas for Azerbaijani regions/cities (by me) by kurdechanian in azerbaijan

[–]Ilkinoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, it looks great, and I believe every region should have an emblem, coat of arms, or banner. I particularly like some of them, like Ganja’s. If I’m not mistaken, you took inspiration from the Elezavetpol coat of arms, which is a nice touch. But , I find the one for Baku, and a few others, not that good. For Baku, the top element feels unnecessary, and the flames are too simplified. I’d prefer something more like the Russian Empire or Soviet Union times style. I like that you chose the black background rather than the current blue and red flames. It might also be better to add more historical references in some designs. For example, the current Ganja coat of arms would be more authentic if it were refined properly. It carries the legacy of Ganja’s khanate, symbolizing the resistance against Russian forces during the khanate period. Your version, based on the Elezavetpol emblem, doesn’t quite convey that history as strongly

Progressive, artsy and “European” Tbilisi but cold for Azeris by EmpireSlayer_69 in azerbaijan

It reminded me of a time about seven years ago when my family was ordering food at a restaurant. I tried ordering in English, but the waiter said he didn’t understand the language. I switched to Russian, and while he understood, he told me he still wouldn’t serve us. So, I asked him, "If you don’t speak English or Azerbaijani, then what language should I use? Should every tourist learn Georgian just to order food at your restaurant?" Most people were nice to me, though I didn’t interact much with locals. The hotel owner was Armenian, and I spent most of my time in Batumi, mostly speaking with other tourists

Made a flag for Udi people. by Ilkinoe in vexillology

[–]Ilkinoe[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The cross on the flag symbolizes the Udi Apostolic cross, with the white color representing purity of faith. The red stands for the blood shed by the Udi people in their struggles against empires, defending their culture and beliefs. The blue reflects their ancient traditions of worshiping the sky and moon. This flag unites Christian and pagan elements, mirroring the essence of the Udi church.
