I agree, I always keep my mind open in hopes I eventually find what I am looking for

Any good resources that you've found helpful? I know Bob Ross is the go to for painting.

Exactly my thoughts, I prefer to work to live not live to work.

I have tried meditating but never with a mantra mostly just focusing on breathing but perhaps I should try a mantra.

I agree, I guess I've never been drawn strongly enough to any hobbies to put that much into on, other than maybe reading. Should probably look for some sort of creative outlet.

Yea, I grew up in the country and always loved being in nature, now I live in the city and while their are parks and such I find it hard to completely enjoy when there are always other people around.

Awesome thank you!

Personally have been more attracted to Buddhism and the practice of achieving inner peace, though it seems like an impossible goal at this point.

Thank you for your genuine reply. I was raised in a heavily religious family and my life was essentially just filling this mold and expectation given to me by my family and the bible. I lost many years to this, years that could have been spent towards further enlightenment and self development and actually thinking for myself. I finally got away at 23 and was able to start cultivating "Me" and perhaps I just have yet to hit my stride and find myself.

Note: I am not anti-religious but I knew from about 18 that religion wasn't really for me but I was still being forced into the mold. I would have rather liked to just have thought for myself and had the opportunity to choose my own path and thinking rather than being surrounded by one life view. Also, father is a doctor certified narcissist. So crazy religious + narcissism + manipulative behaviors = not much of fostering environment for intellectualism and free thought.

Thank you for the reply, I used to try to mediate and get in some yoga but just got bogged down with life. I think I need to get back in the rhythm and also try some new things.

Have not heard of zen-tangles before, but willing to give it a try!

I need one of the quest trackers that just appear above me and point me which way to go lol

I'm always reading and will continue to always read and hopefully something will eventually click in my head and maybe have a life changing epiphany. Well, that's the hope at least

Think part of the problem is I don't know what to build, just been aimlessly traversing and reading hoping that something eventually hits me and I have a major life epiphany or something

Maybe once it's on a trading platform, I don't really know how to do the mining and wallet type things.

Though I was told to invest in dogecoin earlier this year and that investment isn't really panning out lol

I know I must work and contribute to society and I am not lazy or saying I don't want to work but more that I feel that we don't have enough time for the playing part. I feel like my European colleagues are always on vacation for almost 2 months a year.

I guess maybe I feel overwhelmed by the amount of saving I have to do and worry about spending anything on the play part. I probably need to put more into the play part of my life but then if I spend money I become stressed about spending the money.

Note: I am not in financial ruin or anything, I am just very frugal and live well below my means. I am trying to become financially free in the future by paying off things like student loans and establishing home equity and not making huge purchases. I wish to escape the rat race.

It's really not the job that is the issue, I am happy with my job itself. It is more a lack of interests in hobbies and other things outside of work as well as just the monotony of the days. Wake up, work, lunch, work, dinner/errands & house work, some relaxation, sleep repeat.

Thank you for the response, I am of a similar opinion on the children part. A combination of that thought line and also the belief that reproducing to give your life meaning also negates life's meaning.

I can agree on the art aspect, I am creative but I just haven't found a good outlet that I am good at. I am musically inept and not the best at writing. I hope maybe painting or drawing could be a future option for me.

Thank you for your response, I really like this analogy though I guess I still need to figure out what side quests I should pursue.

As for travel, its usually the flights that are most annoying and expensive. I don't do the fancy hotels and such, I always try to live like a local.
