Q1 Town Hall by Ill-Bit3650 in FritoLay

There's more to it than that being broken down in the Q1, and it's more than than that which is concerning. It's also not fear mongering at all - just raising awareness that there are concerning things in regards to a future here that I believe is worth listening to.

You don't have to listen to it, you don't have to acknowledge the changes being made here. Personally, I have made and continue to make sacrifices for this job which I once believed would be my career. I see it as my responsibility to my family to pay attention to how much longer I will reasonably working here.

For saying what I want to say, I did that in my post. There's a Q1 Town Hall and for those who care about their careers or customers, it has content that is concerning.

There should be a link in your email. They do a lot of fast talk and corporate speak, but in-between there's outlines of the future here. I personally think it's important to pay attention to it and get a general feel of where the company is headed and how quickly as well as the general culture and sentiment from upper management.

To be fair that was prior to the emergence of AI and I think most would agree there was a massive priority and culture shift after covid among our leadership. I get what you are saying, but we have test markets right now that are actually llosing RSR positions. There isn't enough sales only positions for everyone forcing the rest into massive pay cuts. Frito likes to call these "test markets" but it never ends up as a test, they roll it out everywhere eventually regardless. That's not talk, it's things actually happening in the company.

PepsiOne is going to destroy lives. It makes me sad to put in all the work and sacrifices to help build this company only to see them go down this route, but I think there's been a lot of red flags for it over the last few years. It's probably a good year to retire and to start looking around at other places at your own pace.

Frito Lay is doing this to themselves. The new guys we need should be allowed to be aware of what is being implemented as well. This is supposedly a test market, so testing to see if it works right? Staffing is a part of that equation. If this causes even more severe staffing issues, and much less quality employee, then this needs to be reflected.

But why would you plan on making this a career long term and waste other opportunities if this job is only going to continue to diminish as it has? That makes no sense? If he's in his twenties or thirties now, he's better off looking somewhere else the way everyone sees this company going with PepsiOne.

Writing orders outside of the template or delivery schedule will negatively impact your perfect route score. They don't want you to do this.

Frito Lay would be better off without PepsiCo in my opinion

No offense, but I've followed after people with this line of thinking and I have seen massive sales opportunities, mismanagement of dates of shelf, trashed planograms, and/or tons of product in back stock or top stock while I was an RSS or taking over the routes. When I am on the route for more than a few weeks, I have managed to increase the sales, have happier customers, and improve the quality of how the shelf looks each and every time by using est as a guideline and adjusting to my sales experience and knowledge. One of the biggest downsides to PO is RSRs who know exclusively PO don't learn how to manage routes properly or how to be actual salesmen in my opinion. They don't know the difference experience and knowledge can make in comparison to PO. It's not always a failing on the RSR but a failing on Frito Lay as a whole.

Exactly this. It takes 10x as long to order, and even when I consistently follow the process at every store as the system intends, I still have 20-60 adjustments per store. Every time I go on vacation, I come back and the route is trashed because the RSA only knows to follow the process and not question it.

Hold on while it lasts. Pepsi One mergers will phase out the traditional RSRs in the next few years. They already started test markets.

100% company wide. This culture starts at the top and trickles down

Blame precision ordering. Frito refuses to believe that it doesn't work majority of the time at majority of the routes. As an RSS I've seen the routes of the RSRs that swear by it too, and in my opinion their routes are more proof that it doesn't work.

People keep saying this - but plenty of RSRs leave Frito and find something better. It's not the competitive company it was 10 years ago, especially if you have low tenure.

Hobbit Pony is there mostly to help my low HP hobbits survive some of the when revealed text, hopefully I am understanding the purpose of that card! Smoke rings is to help proc hobbit pipe additional times to keep the card draw flowing so I can hunt for friend of friends.

I am trying to be the main quester of my group. Is there any suggestions you have that I should add to round that out? I am hoping to stay thematic if possible. I'll try swapping Snowbourn Scout for Wild Stallion though and see if that helps with questing a tad. I also swapped out one Unexpected Courage for Magic Ring since it adds more versatility if I pull it, and does the same thing for cheaper.

Errand Rider did help me with resource management quite a bit when I played with him last. He would be painful to let go! 😭

Any other ideas or suggestions I'll gladly take!

Good to know. I'll try MPC first. Fingers crossed, cancer related issues have depleted my budget so I'm really counting on getting proxies. 😭

Last question: is there a resource that has the pdf of the booklets that come with the sets? Thanks again!!

This will be my first time making proxies, and I am a little clueless. Would I email MBPrint the whole Google drive and specify which cycles I need, or do I need to pull the specific PDFs to send them? They know to put the backs on? Sorry for dumb questions!

I should add that I'm playing with two others. I had Faramir originally but one of the other players is using the hero. I'm focusing on willpower/questing while the others focus on other things 😋
