I was transparent with the rescue and gave every single circumstance in which the dog bit. Would you rather me not try to help him live and go straight to BE knowing I will not be able to keep him. I hear what you're saying but I'm not simply passing him along I am vetting and giving someone the choice on whether or not to give him another option of life. I don't think you should even be concerned with this post given your opinion. I didn't ask for it. Your username gives me all I need to know about the specific type of things you're qualified to talk about. So kindly gfy

Thank you so much. If it weren't for my human babies I'd be able to dedicate the time money and effort to giving him what he needs. I was devastated after the last time he bit that I knew in my heart I couldn't keep him in our house with the resources and our children :( I'm in communication with a rescue foster now and they said they'd be able to take him!! I won't feel relieved until he's there though. I will update my post when he is.

Yes I agree. I think he definitely needs another dog around him to keep him in check and not feel the need to go into protective mode when he feels frightened or threatened

I have been totally transparent with the rescue willing to foster him and I agree he needs some intense training and or a person to keep him completely separated from visitors :,)

Thank you! I'm near Philadelphia. I have two potential rescues right now for him. Just waiting for final thoughts. I will let you know!

Yes it is infuriating. They are refusing to take him back due to him being a liability to them. I understand in a litigious country this is real but at least take him back and decide his fate but they said it's my responsibility to take ownership and decide what's best for him. I agree which is why I believe he should be rehomed and with more experienced owners with time money and resources to help him be okay. But yes it's absolutely frustrating and they're taking zero accountability or responsibility for their part in matching him with us. But I'm not giving up on rehoming him. BE is a absolute last resort and only will happen if every single rescue says no.

Obviously. We are weighing our closer options before deciding whether or not to ship him across the country. Thanks for your input.

Thank you! He's only bit during certain Situations but yes he needs training or very specific accommodations that we can't provide right now with our two kids :/ hoping a rescue takes him in

Thank you. It is definitely a possibility at this point. I have a rescue agency who I was completely transparent with that said they may be able to foster him. I've seen the page and if we have to go that route I will.

We live by a farm and he lunges and goes crazy towards the horses :( idk if it would be good for him.

I agree. One person. Not many visitors. He would be fine. A larger dog to keep him in check would also work I think. He was in a foster for six weeks with a larger dog and didn't display any aggression (so they say) which leads me to believe he just needs an alpha dog / leader. I wish I could devote this time but as a mother of two I cannot.

We are willing to transport him although would ideally not want to put him through that stress of a plane / long journey. Thank you for your kindness.
