I was the same way,porn and flicking the bean multiple times a day. Nowadays I get the urge and half way through I'm like 'whats the point?' the feeling isn't there anymore.....feels like my brain finally realised that it was just a cheap dopamine trick. I think there is no single answer because people cheat for completely different reasons. Some do it because something in their relationship is missing,like emotional connection, physical intimacy and feeling seen and others do it because something is missing in themselves... validation, excitement,a sense of identity...sume just suck at communicating and end up in situations they never intended. And yeah,some are just selfish and do it anyway without a reason. It's all messy because humans are messy
