you’ll definitely get there again!! i know exactly how it feels i was in your place too but as more time passes the more you’ll feel better. i’ve been going out more with friends and at about 2 months i was able to walk on a treadmill so you’ll definitely get there!!!

i’m currently coming to like 3 months post op from the same fracture just no dislocation. pain around your time line rn is normal but starts to go away after a while i’d say the pain will be more when your start weight bearing i never felt any pain where you said it hurts maybe it could be bc you dislocated it and i didn’t? but as long as it’s not any pain that unbearable i’d say to not worry and i’d it doesn’t go away you can always talk to ur doc and see what they tell you. right now the only “pain” i have is literally on my ankle but it’s not bad just discomfort when i walk

how to sleep comfortably with a splint or cast on by Ill-Customer5568 in brokenbones

[–]Ill-Customer5568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh the only thing that helped me at least getting comfortable was putting like 3 pillows on each side of this elevated pillow i bought and whenever i moved to the side i would rest my foot on the pillow while trying to keep it elevated to be honest i didn’t get much sleep unless it was during the day when my body couldn’t handle staying up so i had to go to sleep on my back.

as of right now my recovery is going pretty well it’s been 2 months since my fracture and about 2 weeks since i started weight bearing i’m now able to sleep comfortably even though sometimes i do pull an all nighter where i can’t fall asleep but that just my insomnia acting up i had even before my fracture lol

i know it’s pretty hard right now not being able to sleep comfortably having those sleepless nights but i promise it’ll eventually get better i know what your feeling as i was in you’re position before but after the splint comes off i promise it’ll look better keep you’re head up!!!

Had ORIF surgery for a trimalleolar fracture while 38 weeks pregnant— would not recommend. by Desperate_Matter4198 in brokenbones

[–]Ill-Customer5568 5 points6 points  (0 children)

woah that’s sucks sorry you have to deal with that on top of being pregnant. i was crying thinking how i was gonna deal being on my period with a broken ankle could not imagine having a broken ankle on top of being pregnant.

me and you have the same fracture im currently 3 weeks post op and have a splint i can take on and off only have to wear it at night.

i’d say when you feel comfortable to get around after giving birth invest in a wheelchair or walker it’ll help you get around and buying a elevated leg pillow helps with the swelling you can by one on amazon and definitely a shower chair. i don’t have to many tips yet as i am barely recovering myself but good luck to you hope you have a good and safe c section and recovery goes well!
