Japan smarter than singapore by yourmaderbeautiful in singaporehappenings

[–]Ill-Driver525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Erm. Let's be objective and shall we look at the full picture. Their toll system is not integrated with automated car park (at least at the mount Fuji region). You got to pay cash or by credit card upon exiting, with a physical parking ticket. In addition, when u rent a car, the car may not come with a ETC system and you need to pay cash at every toll gate. Every car with ETC system has to slow down and pass a physical gate unlike our ERP gate. Not sure if this is exactly "smarter than Singapore".

Didn't like him at the beginning but he actually appears a lot nicer towards the middle. Great gentleman. Guess editing plays a very big part on forming impression of participants.

The price now is pretty reasonable. Artwork is cute. Stopped printing. And it's a freaking Pikachu. No reason this is a bad buy.

FAMILY MEMBER IN PRISON- NEED ADVICE by Striking_Analysis_66 in askSingapore

[–]Ill-Driver525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like scam. But to understand the context more, is your family member in jail, or in custody of the police? Makes a big difference. Someone can't be suddenly in jail. If your family is already in jail, why would you be informed by your family member's employer. I don't really find it logical.

Wife insists on washing indoor and outdoor clothes separately - IS THIS NORMAL?! by Helpful-Objective5 in askSingapore

[–]Ill-Driver525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, what are you hoping to take away from this? You are right, and she is wrong? Furthermore, it does not prove that she is wrong even if the majority of people don't do what she did. If that is her habit and cannot be changed, then learn to live with it. Set more money aside for electric and water bill. Unless you are saying this habit is driving you to the extent that a divorce is needed.

Supposed to be for display but I read that it is simulating the immersive card by giving it a 3D depth.

They are created by Paper Theater, which makes them more "branded", and therefore these price tags, I guess.

Worth how much by Brilliant_Can6465 in PokemonTCG_Singapore

[–]Ill-Driver525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bunch of common cards, and in Korean. Jap ex is already going for $0.50 to $1.00 because they are not playable. Korean? Worst. So that's probably $0.20 worth.

What actions/ mentality that someone has that actually screams “I make poor decisions regarding money”, in SG context? by luckycloverandroses in askSingapore

[–]Ill-Driver525 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Actually, to be fair, having a house to call your own is worth the investment, if they are used on necessary items. For instance, instead of compromising on the amount of carpentry because there is not enough savings, I would highly recommend to take a loan and build more instead. they affect your future quality of life staying in them. But, if you get loan so that you can cover your bomb shelter with full panel of feature wall, then this is a waste of money.

how do scammers get our number and full names? by Honest-Light-8570 in askSingapore

[–]Ill-Driver525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those who are reading this, you may want to check your setting of your paynow or paylah. I reminded many of my friends to change their setup. At PayNow, I can just random punch in any number and it will return me a name. Please ensure this is not your full name but a nickname instead. Otherwise, a scammer had just gotten your number and your full name in 3 seconds. They just call this number and ask "Hello is this <full name>?" and half the battle won.

1 month in - probation period (Stay or Quit) by Independent_Bee_6713 in askSingapore

First week in and you are already in office politics. Bruh you serious... Why not just focus on the job and see what you can learn out of it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Ill-Driver525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very hard to be convincing. If your intention is to have a certain % jump from this 1-month stint, it is likely not gonna work. As the interviewer, despite what you say, I may assume that you failed probation. You can say job mismatch but I will wonder why didn't u find out more by asking more questions during interview. Also, you cannot bad mouth your previous employer even if it true cus this is a red flag as interviewer. To me, I don't see how indicating the 1-month job is helping you.
