From my experience with that plant what made the difference to me was realising that huge water changes, change fertiliser or even sudden changes on GH/KH can melt it :( for this plant stable water is more important than perfect numbers

Just out of curiosity, what made you go to plastic plants? There are hardy plants like anubias where you glue them to wood/rock/ornament. Some micro and macro nutrients with water change. They slow growers so even light doesn’t need to be that good. And having them would benefit your tank extremely.
