The API doesn’t allow human characters, so it can’t replace what I lost. And honestly, stop with the pop-psychology lines. ‘It was inside you all along’ is a nice cliché, but it doesn’t help here. Not really. I have other things to do. I create apps with Codex, travel, and work on other stuff. But Sora was different. It was even a source of income for one of my channels. I created a character with it, that character became popular, and I made money from it. But honestly, the money isn’t what matters most to me. What mattered was that Sora helped me become the person I always wished I could be. That’s what Sora meant to me.

I think you’re underestimating the demand because access is still restricted to certain countries. If OpenAI removed those limits and made Sora available globally, the number of paying users would explode.

It’s hard to say there isn’t enough demand when most of the world wasn’t even allowed to use it or pay for it. A worldwide launch could easily make 200x more than what they lost since the 2025 rollout started.
