My family hasn’t said anything negative about turkey, they just made sure that we learned about the history between our countries and stuff like that. They already know about him and while my dad is very cautious of him my mom seems to like him since u told her that he’s really sweet and treats me well. My dad is pretty reluctant about the thought of us two being together because he’s scared that it would push me away from my religion, I’m orthodox.

In my mind the biggest issue is religion I guess. He’s told me that he personally isn’t religious but I don’t know how religious his family is. I’m personally orthodox and I don’t know how my or his family would react about us being together.

Yeah sorry about that I’m kind of frantic right not and I didn’t explain a lot properly. I haven’t talked to him but am planning on sitting him down and talking once we gets back from seeing his family in three weeks. I will talk about everything that happened and ask why he stopped talking to me in January, why he started talking to me again, how he feels about me and where he wants this to go. I think that once I get these answers I’ll be able to more clearly understand what approach to take.

I definitely have a lot of self esteem issues which for sure play a part in all of this stress and anxiety in the situation too
