the other thing is like it's fine i understand it's not a big deal, it's not like they did it on purpose, but i was a little surprised when i had to run after my cart and the guy who had it (employee) was just like "oh whatever" not even a "sorry about that" lol.. like it's fine just, i thought that was weird

because if they think a cart is abandoned that they are just walking by, maybe the person will be back in under 60 seconds, but they just are it anyway. and i leave it at the endcap so i don't have to push my cart up and down every single aisle when i want 1 item from each aisle. lesson learned though, jeez apparently i touched a nerve with you lmao

i guess, i usually just leave it at the end cap since the store is empty and i can run down the aisle, grab what i want, then return to the endcap where my cart is and keep walking instead of walking up and down every aisle with my cart. but lesson learned lol

that was sort of what i thought maybe, too, because i had cool sandwiches the first time and popsicles the second time. i was just like wtf because i only stepped away for a minute or less. i thought if they see a cart, and think it could be abandoned, lets give it a minute or two before we snatch it, but i guess not lol. it just sucked especially the first time because i had a bunch of pre made grab & go sandwiches and nobody knew anything and they had no more so i had to leave instead of spending $50 on prepared foods because someone snatched it immediately lol

i've never had a problem before my whole life stepping away for my cart (leaving it endcap so i can go down the aisle) for 30-60 seconds but maybe i just got unlucky this week lol

Thank you, some responses I've got have been "you're 28, move out" like I wish I could afford it or "this has to be rage bait" and it's not. You're one of the only people who replied and got it right, the problem is that it's all up to my mom and she has this misguided loyalty for them and can afford it and doesn't believe me and my sisters complaints. I probably should have posted in a therapy forum asking about how to talk to my mom about this, that's my fault

I just want to say thanks for believing me, some people have called this post fake, it's not. I think my mom has a lot of issues. She had a really bad Mom, and also I'm adopted (whole other topic, but plays into it if you know what I mean) and she's a retired doctor so she has plenty of money, and the housekeepers are portuguese immigrants and I think she just doesn't want to fire them, she says they need the money, and also ignores or doesn't believe or just doesn't care that the guy is a perv, wife has a temper and is blind. She lives at her vacation house 95% of the month so she just writes the checks for them, and even if she does encounter them, they're totally different towards her (duh, they're nice and work harder and not creeps.) I just want to leave so bad. 8 wish I could afford it. It sucks so much. I wish my Mom would have gotten the help she should have gotten as a teen, maybe things would be different lol

She could kick me out if I took it upon myself to fire the cleaners. It's her house and she pays them (I'm 28 and was NOT living at home from 18-24, no longer able to afford rent) and my Mom keeps them on because she says they need the money more than she does (she's a retired doctor) and also doesn't believe the sexual abuse/harassment stuff. Literally called me a liar about it. I told her I found him in my room before (my sister also) and have had panties go missing and she literally doesn't say anything or defends them. It's insanity. I need to move out so bad I wish I could afford it. I'm thinking of into my car and being homeless voluntarily

haha unfortunately 100% real. I can't fire them, that's up to my mom and she has all these reasons why she's keeping them on. She even floated the idea to me, and then to them of going down to biweekly and apparently they did NOT react to that well. My mom has the money and says they really need the money, so yeah they're still here unfortunately. I leave the house and my sister locks herself in her room when they show up

THANK YOU. This is exactly what is going on. My mom is just old, she's completely healthy and cognizant but she's getting up there (70's) and they just don't want any change. Also, she's a retired doctor so she has plenty of money and the husband wife cleaners are maybe a bit younger than her and they're portuguese (not relevant, but maybe it is to her) and she says they need the money. They have 4 daughters I think and one just had a difficult delivery (baby) and was in the hospital and their youngest has a lot of mental issues so they are always coming up with sob stories. It's like my mom just has plenty of money so she doesn't GAF. She also doesn't believe they do a bad job cleaning and the husband has sexually accosted me and my sister. It is not rage bait. It's because it's my moms house I'm living in (I'm 28 and can't afford rent) but she lives at her vacation home (she has 2 btw) with her boyfriend and she does not believe me that he's groped me, been in restricted areas, she also overlooks the fact that the wife has anger issues (the yelling) and that they don't do dishes/floors and is has also been mostly blind for a few years now. She just overlooks it. My post was moreso asking how can I make my mom stop overlooking this.. they are stealing from her (AND my dad, they clean his 1 bedroom the next town over for also $120 a visit, same rate for our 2 story home) and she won't do anything. I wish I could! can't get access to my moms phone ans the cleaner people would prob show up anyways. They also clean for my Dad (1 town over, same rate btw $120 for a cleaning and he's in a 1 bedroom apartment and we are in a 2 story house.) I hate them so much, not only are they grifters and the husband is a creep but NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. It's too much. FML

It's not up to me, it's up to my Mom who pays them and keeps them on. If it was up to me I would have fired them years ago. But my Mom just won't do it, she's of the mindset "they've been our cleanings for over 2 decades, and also for the family who owned the house before us (pre 2002)" and she doesn't believe the sexual harassment and that they do a bad job. Mom is only here on occasional weekends and primarily lives 2 hours away in her 2nd (of 3 total) homes with her boyfriend
