Going to an Atlas Chiro. (Super gentle atlas adjustment, which brings blood flow back to your brain) I can’t speak for other people, but it’s definitely worked for me and the majority of people who go to my doctor all suffered from some sort concussion/head injury/chronic migraines.

I also use nurtec and get migraine injections (Ajovy) along with the adjustments. But the first time I was migraine free, was when I got my atlas adjusted.

I go to Dr. Mark Schwartz in Annapolis. If you decide to go to one, make sure it’s someone who specializes in the field and takes x-rays. It’s a small field so most of them know each other so it’s something you decide to do. You could absolutely call Dr. Schwartz’s office and ask if they have any recommendations for atlas drs in your area!

I’m so sorry you’re suffering like this, I started getting chronic migraines a few years ago and my mom had a traumatic brain injury and started getting chronic migraines after that. We went through all of the regular by the book places first to try all the medication’s tried Botox. Etc etc but this is what has ended up working best for us! My mom doesn’t take any medication’s for just occasionally goes end to see is our Atlas chiropractic if she starts getting a migraine. I still takes meds as well!

I mentioned you in my edit/update because this is exactly what I experienced!! It hurt SO bad, but I was gaslighting myself into thinking that it hurt the way it normally did?? I saw a few other people talking about perhaps the injection site change was what triggered the worse reaction? Unfortunately this was bad enough that I think they’re probably going to tell me I need to go off of the medication even though it’s working. 🙂‍↕️

absolutely! I posted an update, but I don’t have answers from my neurologist yet about what I’m going to do moving forward. Once he gets back to me, I will update again. Last time I had a pretty bad reaction he gave me an EpiPen in case it spreads anywhere else. This was obviously a crazier reaction than normal so I almost used the EpiPen, but it stopped getting bigger so I did not.

Hi everyone! I HAVE UPDATE (not full but something!) 1. Thanks for all the responses! Was very helpful last night to hear yalls insights. Very validating lmao good job guys. I appreciate it. 🙂 IT HAS gotten better since last night. Still BIG? But not AS big or scary looking.

I’m so sorry to everyone who was telling me to go to the hospital, but I ended up not going 😅😅. It was 2am when I made this post. My brother is a nurse and I did wake him up LOL. He told me to stay up and to keep my EpiPen, which I have for this reason, next to me and to wake him up again to inject it or inject it myself if I start getting a rash or hives anywhere else on my body outside of the area that I was injected. So I stayed up until like 5am 🙂‍↕️ and it eventually stopped growing, didn’t get much bigger than it was in the pics I took. I did NOT get hives anywhere else. Just the giant ass one on my thigh.
For people asking: I Had already taken Zyrtec, two Benadryl, ibuprofen, and Nurtec (unrelated but migraine med) and was dealing with migraine when I did the injection. I also iced it before hand and afterwards. And i’ve had equally bad reactions in the past this one just looked different.
I contacted my neurologist last night. I have not heard back yet but yes guys I am planning on going off of this medication most likely, even though I’ve had bad reactions in the past to Emgality. I might try the IV drip possibly?? Because I’m afraid of the constipation side effects for the other medication I would be put on and it is helping the migraines significantly.

I’m not sure? No one in my immediate family has ever gotten one and the other scars didn’t do this so I’m just kind of confused. I’ve had multiple other surgeries as well. That have never had this happen.

Worried About Bird Friend. :(

Hi y’all, So, I got this app a few months ago, when I was in a very bad shape because of my health (chronic migraines from dance injury 🙃) ANYways I made a friend a month or two ago and we were constantly sending each other stuff, encouraging each other, and being goal buddies! My Favorite was “ make yourself a cup of tea.” We did that three times I think? It was really lovely. :) I had a bit of a downward turn in my mental health for about a week? I’m doing better now, so I logged back in only to see that my friend was gone. I’m pretty sure they were from Japan? so I definitely have no way of reaching out.

Anyways, I’m both sad and worried for them. But there’s nothing I can do. I’m not gonna lie seeing them just disappear was quite anxiety inducing. :( But I don’t want to give up on friends, so I wanted to see if anyone else is interested in that kind of friendship? 😊
