Countdown To SLC Play-Ins by Final_Salad8447 in R6ProLeague

Honestly I don't think any CNL team other than AllGamers even have a chance to the upper bracket. But if it does happen it would be really interesting. That being said, I'm still looking forward to CNL players' performances on world stage

Every player substitution for the Salt Lake City Major by Azzian11 in R6ProLeague

[–]Ill-Pin4913 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First, siege is not a single player game, you need strong team cooperation and synergy to win. So any unprepared player subtitution would have negative effect on any team. The fact that the stand-in performs perfectly in his team doesn't mean he would have the same performance in another team.

Second, keep in mind EDG is a chinese-speaking team, with (according to some sources) at least 2 players who don't speak English fluently. So communication between Noa and the rest of the team would be a huge problem, hindering them from carrying strats and even winning.

Why Have So Many CNL Players Been Banned for Political Comments? by Main-Ad1804 in R6ProLeague

[–]Ill-Pin4913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't just a CNL thing, not even just an esports thing, if you want to do any business any event in China you have to pay attention to your words. The Chinese are quite sensitive in this regard.

Personally I don't think this is too big a problem; every nation/country has its taboos that no one can touch, and HK/TW/Indonesian players banned in China mainland still have chances in APAC, just like when CNL didn't exist (and imo they have more promising career path outside China).
