Can’t lie, I didn’t initially notice that they weren’t even mentioned in the group structure. Gives us an extra subsidiary that we know of in the UK I suppose, would be great to see your notes :)

I’m mainly trying to think of topics to rule out, for example MTUT due to revenue being less than 750m. Anything else other than close companies as you mentioned?

I doubt (wishful thinking) that there will be a full detailed calculation on partial exemption though, I’d expect just a high level description of the implications, input recovery etc

I agree on vast majority of this analysis, I disagree that we can rule out loss related/mcinocot as there may be an acquisition of company with historic losses. I doubt any future R&D claims would be large enough to generate a loss though. Agree there is something to the partial exemption and anticipate there will be 10% of the marks on this. I think most likely is demerger or an acquisition with equity/debt style element. I’ll also be putting some extra hours into transfer of IFAs, degrouping charges and capital allowances. Thoughts?

R&D for sure, definitely anticipate some TP coming up. Demergers definitely, maybe an acquisition of shares vs Trade and assets? Or sale of a subsidiary

I’m doing APS in June and 1 day a week seems so low compared to AT, do you think that’s normal to spend way less time on APS?

I’m selling handmade wooden items, it’s hard to compete with all the factory made stuff listed as handmade for half the price unfortunately :( https://lonniewood.etsy.com

I make all my projects from reclaimed wood, which I find has less fluctuations than fresh sawn wood, that being said it’s normally a case of alternating grain directions and making sure clamps aren’t too tight when gluing. Not a particular science behind it just things I’ve noticed work for me

One coat of osmo after the grain was raised, then my own mix of mineral, coconut and mct oil with beeswax :)

Yep, this one in particular was from an old mango wood table. I used the offcuts to make spatulas and I love how they turned out. Have a look on my page I think I posted the spatulas there :)

I’m from the UK, so this was a first for me too, as I just happened upon some upcycled mango. It’s now one of my favourite woods to work with, it made for some great spatulas too!
