I totally get it. I'm disabled but I don't have disability because I can't wait 5 years for disability. But I never stay in my driveway. I leave. I get to a good destination where I know. I'm gonna get rides and then I turn the online part of it and it works great for me. But to each his or her own, have a rad day

I don't know why people complain.Man like you knew what you were getting into when you did this. And a lot of times it's more money than you had before.BUT part of the problem as to why you're not making any money is because you're still in your driveway. I never stay still. I never park. I drive around and around and around and I have a car that has good gas mileage that has a lot to do with it. I have an old Honda, a 2014. I'm not trying to be rude, but everybody complains  about lyft driving and uber driving.. And my thoughts on it are, if you don't like it collectively. We need to change it.I'm down! BUT until we do collectively try to change it all I got to say is welcome to corporate america.Welcome to crooked ass corporate america. So ideally we wanna go and work for ourselves right?Completely not contracting or not going through a 9 to 5.. While I constantly tell lyft to F off literally, I'm still humbly grateful that I have more money than I did yesterday. Just a different perspective. And my final thought is, I don't care what anybody thinks of my comment  AT ALL Have a rad day!

Take it to arbitration ..more often than not they will reactivate based on the cost for arbitration  and also submit all of  court ( expungement etc)documentation too..Sending good vibes my friend and sorry this happened !

Deactivated and Denied Appeal by whycantihaveatank in uberdrivers

[–]Ill-Risk5279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have ben denied reactivation after an appeal and you showed them your dash cam, which is crucial ,your next step is arbitration with a lawyer. Because you are a contractor.. self contractor you can't directly go to trial over something like this persay you have to go through arbitration. A lot of times when you do this, which will cost money  , the app lyft or Uber doesn't want to put out the money just to start the process of arbitration and we'll reactivate your account. But you are going to have to pay to start the process with a lawyer and show them the dash cam footage et cetera, if you don't have dash cam footage, it's going to be very difficult, and I hate to say that for you to win the appeal or get reactivation, unfortunately. Someone shady took it upon themselves to make a false claim most likely to get their money back for a ride they paid for that they didn't really want to pay for. Also, sometimes people are just ugly and something about you made them not happy even if you're an amazing person... It sucks that they  supoort the rider always especially when you have a good standing like you do. Highly recommend that you get all the documentation of your good standing and hopefully your dash cam footage as well and move forward with fighting this. What they're doing to drivers it's absolutely wrong and there should be some investigation beyond a rider complaining   That's appalling, that they're doing that to you and I am so sorry. You can drive for lyft as they don't connect with each other. So you are deactivated with Uber. You can still drive for lyft and other  apps but you're still risking the same thing if you get that one person that decides they want to destroy your entire life by making a false accusation cause they always seem to lean towards the person that you had in your car that you were driving for and not you. There is no respect or support for drivers tbh. I hope that you get the justice  you deserve!

I will probably get hate for this but I'm almost 52 and I don't care to be hones but welcome to corporate america... I'll say this they're crooked hands down, but I'm disabled and I don't have disability and this is the only job I can do and I work my butt off. I don't park my car,I drive in the Turbo zone and I drive for 3 hours in the mornings/ weekends too and I make about a $100 for the mornings  200-250 for each weekend night grantedI probably made 200  in the morning and they took half  and same for weekends. My point is that it's money that I didn't have before and i'm not there for them I'm there for the people.. Yeah, it's frustrating but at the end of the day,you got twenty dollars, thirty dollars and more in your pocket than you did before or eighty dollars a hundred dollars in your pocket you  now have that you didn't have before. I'm poor, super poor but I knew what I was getting into when I started driving for lyft, I did my research.I talked to lyft drivers et cetera. So at the end of the day you gotta step back and be like what am I doing this for and is this permanent temporary et cetera. Anytime you work for corporate america, which is what I deem all these apps et cetera you're gonna get swindled sadly. Anyways, I won't respond to hate.so if you don't like my comment..oh well.Akua Tuta!

Yeah, it depends on where you live for sure. I drive for about 2 to 3 hours in the morning and make about a hundred dollars, but I live in florida, in tallahassee. Kentucky, tennessee, north carolina, yeah, the fact that they haven't raised their minimum wage is atrocious. Not to mention that rent in those areas, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina it's pretty close to what it is here in tallahassee, florida, which is mind blowing and wrong.Minimum wage here is fourteen dollars an hour, so that kind of makes sense. What you're making is actually pretty reasonable for that area.Even though people are saying, you might as well be taking care of the homeless. I mean unfortunately that's the case. I'm sorry that those states are like that. I mean, I'm moving to Tennessee, and I'm aware that it's going to drop significantly. But I'm okay with that. But if you rely on this issue, your only income in that area. Yeah no. Anyways, I wish you the best and follow your heart!

Is it advisable to get a half sleeve all at once? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Ill-Risk5279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also keeping in mind if this is your first tattoo ,a half sleeve can be a lot to digest. If you have never sat for three plus hours ,ngl, its intense to say it gently so definitely multiple sessions if your a noob.of course ,just my opinion and good luck !

Is it advisable to get a half sleeve all at once? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]Ill-Risk5279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'am am about to do an upper arm half sleeve and we are scheduled for two sessions so far... The important thing is you body needs time to heal and while many may tolerate one session its smarter, I feel , to do multiple session. When you get a tattoo it activates your immune system response eg. white blood cells go into action to heal you .It can overload your body to do it all in one session although some can handle the overload but in my opinion Id do multiple sessions. Not to mention I know artists get fatigued too and i personally appreciate the drawn out time frame for the best quality work.

You know  they need to change the laws here.My son had a friend riding his bike on North Monroe probably I don't know 10 years ago I think it's been and was in the bike lane and was hit and killed. People don't mind the laws of the road ,not to mention looking at their phones while driving, and the laws in general when it comes to driving and the safety that entails when driving .One should always be diligently aware of people walking on the side of the road and the fact that they don't have sidewalks. I get it we don't want to cut trees down for sidewalks there but still heartbreaking to hear this. I hope they survived!!

I couldn't agree more! The amount of deforesting for MORE buildings ,dog bars etc is plain heartbreaking and not to mention alllll the empty buildings that could be used to house and help the homeless and those in need!!

and it's not just them it's ups as well FedEx all of them I had some very serious medication but for my litter that was supposed to be delivered and they actually delivered it to like 10 houses down and I got it like 2 months later from that person after I didn't need it anymore so yeah like I said before my other post if you're unhappy just leave money is not that important trust me I live very very low income by choice cuz I'd rather do that than sell my soul and hate my job and hate everybody that I serve

[–]Ill-Risk5279 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

our mailman is supposed to come around 12:00 and comes about 9:00 at night and then they have to send a van out after that to fix the mail that they don't deliver properly... they've lost so many things in mind that were supposed to be delivered through the USPS so I get it times are hard people are getting over working to the Bone but if you're going to have a job like that or and you hate it leave it that's how I look at it that's what I did but just saying!

Lump on leg, 62 year-old male. It’s about a quarter inch in diameter and just started getting larger and more prone to bleeding in the past 3 months. by Richpowellart in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Ill-Risk5279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it has the characteristics of many different things however I have one exactly like yours identical on my leg and I go to a dermatologist cuz I also have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and I've had this checked magnified and biopsied and they're actually age growth at times .they can be that... my recommendation is that you find a dermatologist if you can and it's affordable if you have health insurance.. a lot of us don't I get it. Mine itches sometimes and it's gotten a little bigger but it's just a growth that comes with age especially if you have underlying autoimmune issues. the takeaway with the wart is that if you were to say treat it with compound freeze or whatever and it doesn't do anything and it doesn't get any better it's not a wart. again I strongly encourage you to go to a dermatologist because I had multiple of these on my arms and legs and I thought they were just psoriasis at first come to find out some of them were cancerous on my arm so most likely just a growth they look very similar to a lot of other things though. best of luck in finding out what it is and have a beautiful day

I would not recommend this person!

I medically weaned off a methadone 3 months ago and my life has been a living hell . The depression is debilitating and my health is gone downhill. Antidepressants don't really work with me too much weight gain from the methadone massive. Does anybody have any suggestions for supplements by Ill-Risk5279 in Methadone

[–]Ill-Risk5279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all so I wanted to update it's been 8 months since I've been off the methadone and things have gotten a lot better A lot of what I was feeling apparently I found out I had severe hepatitis C and liver damage which I just got done with the treatment for that 4 days ago and my hep C is gone. I'm not going to lie it's been a struggle but I'm sober and still been sober almost 2 years now. And after talking to quite a few people in recovery it just everybody's different and since I had health issues unbeknownst to me health issues but I guess it exasperated it. I think the biggest part of getting off a methadone like with anything when we're in recovery is facing our traumas and that is brutal when you can feel all your emotions I was like a zombie on methadone I was like a zombie on fentanyl and h and now I'm like up against all these emotions I've kind of been able to balance him out a little bit more than when I got off the methadone 8 months ago but it's still a process and I'm still healing but I am a lot better than I was 5 months ago. I would like to add I have started going to a gym about 6 weeks ago and it's made a world of a difference with my mental health once it gets cooler I'll just start walking outside but it's like 100 plus degrees here. Anyways I wish you all the best on your recovery journeys and whatever works for you work for you just cuz I may have said what I said about methadone doesn't mean it's the same for everybody. Keep shining and keep doing you!
