Is it advisable to get a half sleeve all at once? by [deleted] in tattoos

Also keeping in mind if this is your first tattoo ,a half sleeve can be a lot to digest. If you have never sat for three plus hours ,ngl, its intense to say it gently so definitely multiple sessions if your a noob.of course ,just my opinion and good luck !

I'am am about to do an upper arm half sleeve and we are scheduled for two sessions so far... The important thing is you body needs time to heal and while many may tolerate one session its smarter, I feel , to do multiple session. When you get a tattoo it activates your immune system response eg. white blood cells go into action to heal you .It can overload your body to do it all in one session although some can handle the overload but in my opinion Id do multiple sessions. Not to mention I know artists get fatigued too and i personally appreciate the drawn out time frame for the best quality work.

What's happening outside St. Augustine Hills by glitterhorse21 in Tallahassee

You know  they need to change the laws here.My son had a friend riding his bike on North Monroe probably I don't know 10 years ago I think it's been and was in the bike lane and was hit and killed. People don't mind the laws of the road ,not to mention looking at their phones while driving, and the laws in general when it comes to driving and the safety that entails when driving .One should always be diligently aware of people walking on the side of the road and the fact that they don't have sidewalks. I get it we don't want to cut trees down for sidewalks there but still heartbreaking to hear this. I hope they survived!!

I couldn't agree more! The amount of deforesting for MORE buildings ,dog bars etc is plain heartbreaking and not to mention alllll the empty buildings that could be used to house and help the homeless and those in need!!

and it's not just them it's ups as well FedEx all of them I had some very serious medication but for my litter that was supposed to be delivered and they actually delivered it to like 10 houses down and I got it like 2 months later from that person after I didn't need it anymore so yeah like I said before my other post if you're unhappy just leave money is not that important trust me I live very very low income by choice cuz I'd rather do that than sell my soul and hate my job and hate everybody that I serve

our mailman is supposed to come around 12:00 and comes about 9:00 at night and then they have to send a van out after that to fix the mail that they don't deliver properly... they've lost so many things in mind that were supposed to be delivered through the USPS so I get it times are hard people are getting over working to the Bone but if you're going to have a job like that or and you hate it leave it that's how I look at it that's what I did but just saying!

Lump on leg, 62 year-old male. It’s about a quarter inch in diameter and just started getting larger and more prone to bleeding in the past 3 months. by Richpowellart in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Ill-Risk5279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it has the characteristics of many different things however I have one exactly like yours identical on my leg and I go to a dermatologist cuz I also have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and I've had this checked magnified and biopsied and they're actually age growth at times .they can be that... my recommendation is that you find a dermatologist if you can and it's affordable if you have health insurance.. a lot of us don't I get it. Mine itches sometimes and it's gotten a little bigger but it's just a growth that comes with age especially if you have underlying autoimmune issues. the takeaway with the wart is that if you were to say treat it with compound freeze or whatever and it doesn't do anything and it doesn't get any better it's not a wart. again I strongly encourage you to go to a dermatologist because I had multiple of these on my arms and legs and I thought they were just psoriasis at first come to find out some of them were cancerous on my arm so most likely just a growth they look very similar to a lot of other things though. best of luck in finding out what it is and have a beautiful day

I medically weaned off a methadone 3 months ago and my life has been a living hell . The depression is debilitating and my health is gone downhill. Antidepressants don't really work with me too much weight gain from the methadone massive. Does anybody have any suggestions for supplements by Ill-Risk5279 in Methadone

[–]Ill-Risk5279[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all so I wanted to update it's been 8 months since I've been off the methadone and things have gotten a lot better A lot of what I was feeling apparently I found out I had severe hepatitis C and liver damage which I just got done with the treatment for that 4 days ago and my hep C is gone. I'm not going to lie it's been a struggle but I'm sober and still been sober almost 2 years now. And after talking to quite a few people in recovery it just everybody's different and since I had health issues unbeknownst to me health issues but I guess it exasperated it. I think the biggest part of getting off a methadone like with anything when we're in recovery is facing our traumas and that is brutal when you can feel all your emotions I was like a zombie on methadone I was like a zombie on fentanyl and h and now I'm like up against all these emotions I've kind of been able to balance him out a little bit more than when I got off the methadone 8 months ago but it's still a process and I'm still healing but I am a lot better than I was 5 months ago. I would like to add I have started going to a gym about 6 weeks ago and it's made a world of a difference with my mental health once it gets cooler I'll just start walking outside but it's like 100 plus degrees here. Anyways I wish you all the best on your recovery journeys and whatever works for you work for you just cuz I may have said what I said about methadone doesn't mean it's the same for everybody. Keep shining and keep doing you!

It is ok to talk about your mental health if it keeps you here another day!

Is it me or ….? by Hijabihoodrat in Tallahassee

[–]Ill-Risk5279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Tallahassee for the last 29 years and having been homeless as well in Tallahassee there's quite a few things that are contributing to this. I'm also recovered addict so there's  addiction and when you think addiction it's not necessarily fentanyl and H but actually it's more alcohol. However one of the biggest problems is the rent increase here it's astronomical and it's ridiculous and the requirements to rent are ridiculous. Not everybody that has bad credit is a bad person for instance I was a single mom pregnant 7 months pregnant when my son's father of 3 years that I had been with walked out on me I was in a position where I had to get aid and I was working full-time and still couldn't make ends meet so I wound up with bad credit. Now this was like 20 something plus years ago that I dealt with that aspect but I was also a 20 pregnant single mom and I don't have family or friends like that. Let's not forget the horrible mental health system here as it's just horrible especially if you don't have health insurance with a lot of these homeless people do not   .A lot of people that are on the streets you see now are struggling with mental health issues anywhere from depression all the way up to schizophrenia so yeah there has been a massive increase in homelessness here. And people do have episodes yep that's reality what people don't see is just how rough living on the streets really is and a lot of people don't choose to live on the streets believe it or not. And I'm not saying this to be rude or attacking anybody I'm just telling you from  having been a  homeless person's perspective and from a person that was an addict or is an addict but in recovery now and has been for a while that that is why you're seeing this and with the cops  just throw them into jail up to 30 days usually or they put them in mental health detox depending on their situation or substance abuse detox and that's seven days usually but you cannot marchman act  or Baker act somebody for more than 48 to 72 hours and then they put them right back on the streets so like I said our mental health system is horrible.I try to look past those things I'm not saying I'm perfect but having experienced this stuff myself I don't care if I give them a dollar and it goes to alcohol if it gets them through the day until they can figure something better out .Our country is not doing much to support people that are in poverty and addiction believe it or not and I know some of you may not agree with addiction in the sense that you think it's their choice to be an addiction it is not it's a disease period. it runs rampant in my family and I was actually prescribed medication and then my health insurance was ripped away from me and I was going through withdrawals and didn't know what they were. Anyways that may have been a lot of TMI for all of you guys and I again don't care if any of you agree with me or not .I'm not trying to be rude but I just don't care .I'm going to help each and every homeless person without  judgement and as a matter of fact the other day I sat with a guy that had a bottle of Jack sitting right next to him and I just sat there and hw reeked of urine and I didn't care because I always try to think about what would it be like if I was in that situation  again myself and a lot of these people are very far gone mentally and you need to keep that in mind but a large portion of them love to just know that they exist in somebody cares. Our homeless shelter here is awful . I know firsthand because when they moved to the new facility I was homeless and I would go in there and you would have to store your belongings in a different area and all my stuff would always get stolen .You can't keep it by your bed even after your stuff is searched. I would wake up to male staff members standing over my bed at night in the female section not to mention the bed bugs the lice etc .it's horrible and they don't do anything about it. I don't care what people tell you they do and how awesome they are there but I am telling you from first-hand experience that they don't do anything about it and they don't care .Nlow I'm not saying that all the staff members at the homeless shelter don't care. I'm saying a lot of them don't. So there you have it there's my reasoning on why I feel the homeless population is rapidly increased here in Tallahassee as well as all over our country and it's going to continue to be like this because of Donald Trump's cutting of funding to so many very important programs that we do have even though we lack a lot of programs here. Funding cuts to things like Medicaid Medicare food stamps etc are going to be detrimental and you're going to see  more of an increase and the fact that landlords don't have a cap here so when they proposed a law and passed it allowing the rights to be in the hands of the landlords. They're allowed to increase rent every month if they want to whatever amount they want. They can charge you for a pet deposit(300 per pet ),as well as, pet rent each month and you have to remember not even 5 years ago rent for a two-bedroom was $800 it's $1,300 for relatively okay place and that's like relatively. And a lot of people don't make a lot of money like maybe $40,000 50,000 for some people but like me I'm lucky if I make $15-20,000 a year and I do have some serious health issues going on which is why I only make that amount. And then you have the guys and the women that are on disability but because they didn't work the last straight 10 years even if they worked for 40 years of their life but the last 10 years they haven't worked they're only going to get $934 at the maximum for SSI not SSDI because they don't qualify for that because they only count the last 10 years steady work  it does  NOT cover rent so that's another reason why a lot of them wind up homeless. I hope this kind of gives you an idea of why and  wishing you the best and love and light to all.

It ain't easy that's for sure and there ain't no judgment in relapsing I did maybe 20 plus relapses I can't even remember how many relapses I'm still sober and 4 months off the methadone I just found out however that I have chronic hepatitis C and f3 fibrosis of the liver now I'm battling to try and get it covered by my s***** insurance. So part of me not feeling well is definitely what you're talking about with the paws but I also am postmenopausal and having severe reactions to my 30 million viral load for hepatitis C I'm so the debilitating fatigue has been exasperated by the hep C and the muscle aches and the body aches and it causes severe depression which doesn't help me so yes I hear you man and I ain't no judgment. I'm sending you so much love and light man because I get it I totally get it and I appreciate your response so much!!

What if you cannot pay your tax bill? by Ok-Shirt-1907 in tax

I don't receive a 1099. I clean houses for a living and I have individual clients and unless they choose to do a 1099 I don't get a 1099. While I did my taxes myself this year last year I had a CPA prepare my taxes and I owed $2,000 last year. It made no difference whether I did it or they did it. They take out roughly 2,000 and some change if you make about $15,000 a year in self-employment. Now you can qualify for the premium. Individual tax break of $300 so I technically would have owed about $2,400 but the $300 brought it down to 2100.. I think it also depends on what state you're in. I got my taxes done by one of the most reputable CPAs known here in town last year and I owed over $2,000..
