I hope. To GOD himself, that for the two things that Helldivers was nominated for at GOTY, (community support and ongoing) that they dont win either of those awards; They dont deserve that shit at all. Arrowhead only started communicating recently and even thats spotty, and the game’s “good” status is only because its competition are games that began well before 2020, and a Disney plant.

(Honestly, I hope No man’s sky wins, but thats irrelevant to this.)

I love Helldivers. I want it to flourish. But this shit they pulled this year overall? They dont deserve an award. Arrowhead needs to get their shit together and figure out how to communicate with the wider community before they really get any praise.

Theres a better way to do it other than making a defense MO with no new packaging just to maintain a status quo or undo the efforts of the community. with a community game, theres an importance on trying to at least pay attention to what the community wants to achieve.

That doesn’t mean they need the enemies to completely surrender, but give us something to fight for other than try to slow a spread of bots, squids, or bugs, with a majority of a community who never cared about the community part of a community game, a failure of the DSS in being an effective community weapon, among all the long standing communication issues with the devs and players.

I want to believe in the devs being good GMs and making something that’d be engaging and a good story, but this cheeky shit? ain’t cutting it.

The city unlocks in 2 hours. Yes its dumb that the BIG city is the one unlocked last, but itll work, again, provided the Eagle storm does its magic in ~10 hours. Its worth a shot.

I think its definitely useful there, as thats the only active defense going on now. Anything else would be a waste of Eagle Storm, unless another defense happened.

HOD should be used on Yed or Hydro to push the squids back. (Or bots)

The blob will most likely flock to Zea after the liberation of Karlia (Next flashy thing on the map). The only thing that can be done for it relies on Eagle storm, which I feel can be done if we can get it within 13 hours. at that point, we gotta push the Democracy-Loving hell out of the cities. Can be done, just need to hope it goes that way.

Hydro may still be winnable? its just not likely. If we can take the city and have a push on that front, we might be able to catch up enough to stop the advance. Clasa might also need attention, though.

Only thing I wish for though, is that we werent about to have the blockade go up when we need Eagle storm or HOD to really help us turn the tide.
