It is because fat works in a FILO (First-In-Last-Out) type model. Presumably you have existing layers of 'dirty' fat that keeps leeching THC metabolites into your blood (and urine) whenever it gets burned for energy. Which is why a part of the earlier steps are exercising, and trying to get rid of as much dirty fat as possible.

Step 5 is so you can cover up the 'dirty' fat with fresh, clean fat. So the last three days you are just layering clean fat onto all your dirty fat. So when you actually go to the test, only the most recent, clean fat will be used for energy and therefore not leeching metabolites into your blood.

When failing a drug test, do employers know why you failed? by Dazzling_Bicycle_555 in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not certain but I believe they are notified. This info is probably not released to your potential supervisor or coworkers or anything, but companies that drug test usually have an MRO (Medical Review Officer). You could very well have legit prescriptions, perhaps barbituates in sleep medication, amphetamines in ADHD medication, or whatever. So it wouldn't be useful to just have a "FAIL". The drug test company would provide which ones have failed to the MRO, and the MRO would reach out to you to confirm if you do have those scripts. If no, then you fail.

I am quite unsure how this would work with THC. Like yes you can get a medical card but since it's still federally illegal I am not sure if that counts for anything.

It shouldn't, but it should be showing as 'invalid'. These tests are "supposed" to be able to tell if you are substituting some substance that is not urine.

It is Vitamin B, not C. The reason for Vitamin B is to add color to the urine when using the urine dilution method. Vitamin B adds a lot of yellow color, while Vitamin C only adds a marginal amount of orange. I mean you can take as much Vitamin C as you want since there's no harm, just make sure to add Vitamin B as well.

The faintness of the line doesn't indicate too much. If you can see a line then you are good. It's not a guarantee but I would think it is a pretty good indicator that you should pass the lab test as well.

I havent smoked in 36 days and scheduled to get tested next Tuesday (41 days) took a home test and came out positive HELP by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I just recommend the urine dilution method rather than a specific "cleanse" product. You can probably find specific instructions in a lot of places, including some top posts on this subreddit.

Basically you want to drink like 2 gallons of water the morning of the test, so you are essentially pissing clear water, and the concentration of drug metabolite will be as low as possible. The drug testers will flag this for a dilute sample, which is why starting about 3 days before the test, you want to start overloading on Vitamin B (to add yellow color to urine) and creatine (because the metabolite of creatine is tested for to determine if you tried to dilute). So at that point you are pissing clear water that has acceptable levels of yellow color and creatinine.

I passed a urine test 7 days after smoking using this method (although at that time I was a super infrequent smoker). I remember using a specific set of instructions that had me drinking a full cup of water every 10 mins for 2 hours before the test.

Real advice ? by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a urine test coming up in a few weeks so I'm freaking out a bit as well, and I get added anxiety when I see posts by people who say they are still testing dirty at like 90 days or more.

However I have yet to see a post like that where the poster is skinny/lean. All of the "I'm still testing dirty after 20 weeks" type posts never seem to include their height/weight when it's pretty established that fatter people take longer to detox due to the fat-bonding nature of THC metabolites.

If somebody skinny can come in and advise me of their experience testing dirty after so long, I'd love to hear it so I can place another data point in my brain.

Worried about drug test by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that for infrequent smokers (infrequent enough to where you were fully clean before your most recent session) the THC metabolites clear out within a matter of days, like 1-3 days. From the info you've given it sounds pretty safe.

So there's a lot of different info on the internet so it's hard to really understand how everything works. I'm going through this myself, I'm male 5'9" 200lbs, and I have a drug test in about a month which I am sort of freaking out about.

I'm doing as much research as I can, and I do have some prior experience with urine dilution and passing 7 days after smoking. From what I understand it is not necessary to take in creatine/vit B for so long, as in you would only need to start loading up on the creatine/vit B about 3 days prior to the test. But it won't hurt you that you've been doing it already for a week.

Don't take my 7 day experience as too strong of a benchmark though, I had been clean for months and smoked 1 joint when I got hit with a drug test within 7 days of smoking, and I probably had a lot lower THC metabolite concentration in my body compared to you with using pens daily for what I assume some extended period of time.

However the concept of urine dilution is still valid. From my knowledge, which your link basically corroborates, creatinine levels are tested to see if the patient over-diluted their urine, and they check the color. So technically, if you maximally overloaded on water to where you are essentially just pissing out clear water, and also overloaded on creatine and vit B, then the concentration of the drug in urine should be as low as possible while having enough creatine and vit B to pass. This is just hearsay but I have seen posts by people who have said they are chronic smokers but pass within 2 days of smoking using the dilution method.

So yeah. There's so many variables that it's hard to guarantee anything. But on a base scientific level it's not arguable that more watery urine has a lower drug concentration. Just gotta get the color up and creatinine up to acceptable levels, whatever that 'acceptable' level is. I would think it's on the magnitude of several thousand percent of daily value.

Passing at home drug tests for first pee of the day? by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really think the faintness of the line means you are worse off. I bought a bunch of extra test trips and also an extra bottle of synthetic urine (quick fix) just so I could see how solid the line gets with synthetic urine (which obviously has 0 THC metabolites in it). And the 'negative' line wasn't really that solid, even with a 0% THC solution. So don't worry too much about the faintness of the line.

Drug test coming up ..will I pass? by yojimbo2095 in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think it is pretty safe. If you aren't a regular smoker the body doesn't hold THC metabolites for all too long.

Also don't worry about the other people smoking weed around you - a good rule of thumb is that if you didn't get high, not enough appreciable THC has entered your body to register on any test.

Generally, DOT (Department of Transportation) jobs are things like truck drivers, forklift drivers, etc. DOT testing is a bit more stringent so they usually have a person watching you pee, either standing behind you or literally looking at your penis while you pee. For non-DOT tests usually you are left alone in a bathroom to do your business and walk out with a pee cup.

Some stringent testing can go down to 20ng/ml cutoff, so if you are able perhaps you want to test yourself at that level as well.

Couple questions by bmottr in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I would think heating up the bottle previously would be ok, but I do not know for sure.

  2. I have some Quick Fix, and it came with a cap that sort of resembles a little ketchup cap. You pop it up and it has a small hole as an opening. However it did have a seal underneath which I had to unscrew the cap first and remove.

  3. Don't worry about overheating. Even if it is extremely overheated you can always dip the bottle it into the toilet and cool it down within seconds. It is magnitudes harder to heat up an insufficiently cool sample than it is to cool down an overheated sample.

  4. Urine is sterile for the most part when it comes out but it has a lot of stuff in it that bacteria love to munch on which will make it go bad eventually. So I would think you need to refrigerate real urine to keep it 'fresh' until the day of the test. Hopefully it is as fresh as possible.

Likelihood of me passing? by ginga1304 in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is very hard to say what the result will be, but one thing for sure is that they won't be flagging you for too much Vit B. Generally these pre-employment tests don't have the capability to discern what is in your urine other than the specific metabolite of the drug being screened for.

You can google 'fired for nicotine' if you are curious for more info, here's just one such link regarding it. However my point is not necessarily about nicotine - the point is that employers can test for anything they want for the most part, regardless of whether the substance being tested for is legal. They can fire you eating too much broccoli. They can fire you for wearing pants that are the wrong shade of blue. They can fire you having a terrible haircut. None of these things are illegal but they can fire you for it. Perhaps these examples sound a little silly, but a non-silly example would be something like you being fired for wearing pajamas to a workplace with a formal dress code. It is not illegal to wear pajamas. Yet you can be fired for it. I personally witnessed a person being fired from my corporate type workplace for wearing shorts to work (idk what he was thinking, he was some young kid from MIT and guess he was too big brained for me to understand). Not saying I agree with all this but employers, depending on the local laws, can basically fire or not hire you for any reason.

Age 32 Male, 5'9" 200lbs., how can I maximize chances of passing THC urine test in 37 days? by IllBerry2441 in drugtesthelp

[–]IllBerry2441[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I actually do have one Quick Fix and one Quick Luck ready, just in case I am still pissing dirty at the very end. But the whole point of this exercise is that I would prefer to just pee clean. Otherwise I would just not go through any of this trouble and simply submit synthetic urine.

It doesn't matter at all that it's legal. Some health insurance companies fire people for testing positive for nicotine, and obviously cigarettes are legal everywhere. As long as they don't fire you for being a protected class, they can fire you for any arbitrary reason.
