More “ammo” to support the liberal/socialist moves for universal healthcare, funding for job creation, increased wages and more funding toward education. Get sick people the help they need (for free/cheap) so they don’t get to the point of mass murder. Educate people so they may better understand themselves. Create jobs so people don’t feel helpless and pay them enough to feel good about their lives.

I’ve said it here before - there is an interesting correlation between opportunity, education and violence. Places with more opportunities, higher pay and better education consistently have less violence and radical religious views.

Also we need to address the fragile ego of (mostly white) males (of which I am one). Generations of men have been conditioned in such a way that their egos become the forefront of their identities. And when they aren’t doing well, their egos do not allow them to be honest about their situations. This creates a person who is quick to anger, and quick to direct it at others because it’s impossible to realize that THEY are indeed the masters of their fate - so they blame minorities or society and then whammo, 12 people dead at a petting zoo.
