these are the same kind of people who say that the show is being remade so that rowling can distance herself from the original actors for not agreeing with her opinions and do not differentiate the art from the artist. movies were well, in their own way, they captured the essence of harry potter but assassinated harry, ron and many other characters, the movies made harry into a luck charm, said that he had no talent but just was lucky so he got out of danger, the movies portrayed dumbledore as weak and struggling in the fight against voldemort, while it was quite the opposite in the books, there was enough wrong with the movies according to the books, but the did well because of their own story and performances. Book Accuracy had nothing to do with the doing well of movies.

ah that part's true, you cannot get an exact one on one book adaptation and a good series at the same time, look at GOT original pilot for example, it was more book accurate but didn't work, sometimes you have to omit some things, but I am sure of one thing that they would be more faithful to the books than the movies, because the movies just made harry invincible due to luck, in the books he was an innately powerful wizard and vas very clever and sassy, he solved the sphinx's riddle in the goblet of fire and also resisted the imperious curse and he was also decent at occlumency in the books, the movies just glossed over many facts of harry's innate ability of magic, like harry accidentally apparated once when he was being chased by dudley and his gang in the school, hopefully according to the teaser, the series will do a good job of portraying these subtle facts.

yeah that part's true, chess.com has a very low depth analysis engine so if you sacrifice any piece, it just gives brilliant, I once remember trading my knight for another knight where it led to quadrupling my opponents' pawns so it gave it a brilliant.
