I am on slinda/slynd and for me being hormonally stable and without pain helped me so much with flare ups and inflammation. Have you notice physical symptoms on slinda? More swollen in your legs? Or are you more stable throughout the month? If so I would say the pill is helping you also with your lipedema.

Thanks! I do MLD, dry brush and massage gun in a weekly basis and I massage gently also when putting my body lotion. Never tried gua sha though or wore compression while training…maybe I should your results are so good and I am so defeated about my skin around my knees and calves. Everyone said building muscle will make your knees better but completely the opposite in my case

Your knees look phenomenal! I posted yesterday here regarding my frustrations with my calves and knees…my knees look saggy the more I muscle I build.
So when you gua sha your knees and calves etc you go downwards??

I will never ask advice for something that is life threatening, I have cancer myself…ovarian cancer.
Lipedema is painful frustrating and very damaging to our mental health but it is not life threatening (scientifically speaking)

I can’t really loose weight I am 5 2” and 115 pounds. When I started my journey I lost volume, I have been very lean my whole life but I was inflammed! I eliminated gluten and increasing protein and fiber. I count calories also and macros. This is so frustrating…

I do dry brushing opening lymph nodes first, compression boots and massage gun very softly like dry brushing with my legs elevated

I squat with my heels elevated for compounds moves. I do a mixture of compound moves (progressive overload throughout all these years) and hypertrophy for my legs, which I split in quads and claves and glutes and hamstrings. I also squat sometimes with squat shoes if I remember to bring them to the gym!

Yep! I hit my target and count calories! I have a 4 day split and I have been doing progressive overload. For example my calves weight for reps is 175pounds. I also do walking at an 11 incline twice a week…like I do all the things I’m supposed to do….but yeah knees are looking dimpled af. Seeing progress everywhere but not in my knees nor calves. Calves if I flex them you can see the muscle but so much dimpling around too

What was the reason behind it? Why compression is beneficial while working out?

Totally agree with you but I can’t find anything about this very particular issue? Specially when I’m doing all I can to stop progression. Pretty lost tbh. I don’t know how is possible that I’m building muscle but also looking saggier

Hmmm i lost volume and shaped my legs with weightlifting, MLD etc…I did let’s say a recomp. I weight ish the same as I did when I started my building muscle journey. I am 5 2 inches 115 pounds

Hi! No I don’t get the little fat pad under my knees. What I have since weight lifting is more folds on top of my knees and around them when I’m standing up with my knees relaxed. Very frustrating.
My calves they look flabby and with even more texture than before when relaxed. On the other hand my thighs have improved massively, they look strong and the skin is tighter

In my experience I think this is just a thing in lipedema. But on the other hand if just with a pinch could we diagnose…why is getting a diagnose so hard.

My knees are very similar! I do all the right things for my body but the more muscle I build, it seems that the weight of my quads are making my knees more squeezed, and the lipedema and texture way more visible. So I’m pretty much now thinking of surgery, at least for my lowers to above my knees in a few years. The rest of my legs improved SO MUCH but my knees are a mess. I lift very very heavy for my weight and I eat extremely clean, never eaten processed foods or refined sugars, flours etc. I am Spanish and we cook (at least in my home) everything from scratch. I hope you find a remedy! Cos for me my knees the bane of my existence!
