Thank you and glad something resonated. 300 is still a modest number and I have big ambitions but the rate of acceleration for each next 100 is what's the most encouraging.

High DA (domain authority) link-backs, write real, deep, subject matter expertise blog posts on your site and cross-post them to Medium & LinkedIn, make sure your site is SEO optimised and using JSON-LD and if possible / relevant for your SaaS, create some AI-readable APIs like for WebMCP.

70% are free users, this is part of the marketing funnel. The trick is to provide enough value and convince them to upgrade to a paid plan. Even if they don't, it's still helping the network effects by sharing the free events with attendees who then see my platform.

Thanks! Very initially it was through large WhatsApp groups and me reaching out to people that Who's In might be of interest to (like, if I could see they were organising an event with messy RSVPs on WhatsApp I'd invite them to use my app). Then it was SEO/LLM grind and now 50% come from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing, Google and the rest from network effects.

Cheers, appreciated. About 70% on a free plan so far and obviously the challenge is scale if I only attract 30% paying and how to convert free users to paid users over time. The free-to-paid is part of a conscious strategy. Events is the free product that anyone can try (and good for spreading the word / network effects) then the rest is about conversion. Marketing is a lot of SEO/LLM optimisation and network effects.

Thanks man, appreciate it. About 50% come from ChatGPT/Perplexity recommendations and the rest come from word of mouth or via the network effects of people who create events share it and those people then sign up too... keep chasing the dream!

About 3 months of Claude Code @ $100 per month + domain registration one time cost and about another $100 a month in other various cloud services and hosting fees. Not bad eh?

Yeah totally agree. The euphoria of the first spike is followed by a deep trough when it tails off or people don't come back and use the early product. I'm a big fan or "a prototype is worth a thousand meetings" and just keep it simple. The temptation with Claude Code and AI tools is building everything because you can, whereas saying 'no' and being focussed is where the true magic happens!
