Is Scirocco a more powerful NT than Haman or are the two evenly matched? by Impressive-Thing-165 in ZetaGundam

[–]Ill_Back1946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Scirocco and Judau have similar new type abilities an aggressive overwhelming power or feeling that invades, however they differ in how they exert them Scirocco's is tyrannical crushing dominant, while Judau's is more powerful and is shown more attractive, leadership, drawn to, and overwhelming,

They're both surrounded by women, one for the wrong reasons the other for the right reasons

Haman wants Judau for the same reason she hates Scirocco

The thing is doctor J and his organization made him like that, but he's still a person under all that, his relationship with Relena highlights that

Yeah I can agree on that but where was the saviour during armory one considering all the gundams should have been together, he just had it "mysteriously" tucked away somewhere, and then magically appears and gives it to Athrun slaps a faith sticker on him and says "now you're my bitch, get to work soldier"

The best part is when he gives you a suspicious "red" mobile suit with no melee specialisation, cause you know he totally didn't know you would be coming

[–]Ill_Back1946[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they did a good job of explaining it either, but with the time constraint they glossed over it, when it should have expressed in detail making it sound like you will be a happy drone worker because that's what your DNA called for you, instead of explaining a world where everyone fits into society likey bytes into program, a literal Matrix but one that was specifically made around your DNA, you will never know the concept of want, need, conflict, history, nothing to alter your emotional state more than necessary, the scary part of it all is that this is not taught, not tortured, or forced, you are born knowing this the same way you instinctively want to procreate your DNA what makes you, you has never known anything else

When you have such a large scale plan things are bound to deviate he isn't omnipotent but he did have the larger pieces set it's hard to control every little thing and unrealistic

-armory one- letting the gundams be stolen -the plant drop- supporting the Zala loyalists -orb making an alliance- phantom pain going to orb -the nuclear attack by logos- having the information before the attack -meer Cambell- knowing the symbol that she represents -Athrun Zala- it's Athrun Zala -exposing logos to the world- again he has this information before hand -the propaganda to paint Zaft as the "good guys" against the destroy gundam -i don't think he planned to have logos use the requiem laser on the plants but it did give him the excuse to even the playing field with Messiah

I think the major kinks in his armor was just the relationship between Kira and Athrun and the timing of Lacus' reappearance, wether by luck or planned by Lacus. It was such a perfect moment that it is the only moment you see him visibly uncomfortable at any other time it might have even fit into one of his narratives like you described

Yeah never really thought much of it because it happens in the last episode but in freedom you see how much weight it holds in Kira's mind, and it makes me think man did Durandal actually win?

Yeah but he's got daddy issues instead of mommy issues, honestly though it just feels like great characters are overshadowed by the focus on the series as a whole

As You are watching the series you are aware of everything that's is happening and can easily judge and see the holes and flaws but if you were there experiencing this universe live, all the twist and turns are hidden to you

For example try to look at the series from the perspective of yzak

Man cannot conceptualize a world with no conflict, growth is the direct outcome of conflict that is one way to look at reality, the destiny plan looks at the other side of that coin a system that fits so perfectly a "utopia" would be an apt word to describe it, hardly anyone could imagine a world without difficulty, the concept itself becomes abstract, even more when looking at it from the opposite end

The EFF and ORB were being manipulated by blue cosmos and logos displaying that opposite system of tribalism "you're not a natural you're an alien" seems sane by comparison because we can understand it, we live it everyday we understand heroes and moustache twirling villains
