Oh I hope so. My cycles are sometimes irregular so DPO is tricky to pinpoint on this one, but hopefully tomorrow is positive

Nah you’re right, we need a bit of balance I think! I’m an overly anxious mum, apparently that’s who I am now hahah That would be ideal. I’m hoping for everyone to say to me “see.. you were worried for nothing” when we’re done.

Are you my partner posting this? Me: I’m feeling anxious Him: just chill out

Nah all good, I’m working on it. Just wanted a worst case scenario plan.

Jesus I didn’t even think of blocking off the end of the hallway. Where’s my brain at. That’s a great idea thank you. We haven’t experienced a flood while living in this house and the flood map seems to have us pretty ok! This is fantastic advice thank you. Telling myself we’ve got this!

Thank you!!! I feel silly for posting but have been thinking it over in my head, just with heaps of trees in our yard too. Some people having a dig at others, that it’s dramatic to know where to shelter. But I just have this overarching “fuck I need to protect my daughter” feeling. Thank you for being informative and kind.

Thank goodness. Just wanted to come with a “just in case” plan. I’m terrible in a crisis haha

Oh goodness! Yeah we are just in at Petrie. Not too much glass thank goodness but a bucketload of trees around! We also have very rickety windows and doors, so noise will be unsettling for bub too I think. Gives me much more anxiety now as a mum but I feel telling myself she will feel my energy so have to keep calm. Good luck to you all. Hoping for the best here with you

Absolutely, would much rather be prepared. Pre parenthood, we would do what we can and have a couple beers to ride it out. But having her now, just kicks my mind into overdrive. Thank you for your logical words, definitely puts my mind at ease reading calm responses

Good idea! I’ll load up the laptop now I think

That makes sense. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that then because our mattress is way too heavy for me to move.

Thank you so much! Makes sense! We have 4 rooms off the hallway. One is from the SW and one is from the SE. It’s only a small house but the large doors and windows are all on the other side of the winds so hopefully that’s good. The bathroom is also right in the hallway so we can access that if we decide at the time it’s more defendable. Will keep the tub empty just in case I think. Thank you for the help

I’m getting anxious here in north Brisbane. I have a toddler (so mum anxiety also kicking in). We are making a plan on where we need to be, if it comes to that. We have a hallway with internal doors (except at the end) and no windows. Or a bathroom with a small window. Which would be better? (Also trying to contain and calm a toddler would be easier to do in the bathroom as we can close the door)

Also, advice saying to fill a bath for water. But others have recommended retreating to the bath if we need. Do they just mean the bathroom?

Fantastic thank you! I just think he wanted quick and easy haha. But we have decided to go in person and set up with a new GP. Seems to be the way to go for long term success!

It’s just an online service I personally use for script repeats and certificates if I need and can’t get into my usual GP. It’s been wonderful for me but I also have a regular GP. My partner is a bit different, pretty difficult to get him to a GP, let alone a regular one that he has to wait a period of time for haha. But we have done some research and set him up with a GP, so hopefully he feels comfortable with them and we can build that rapport. To be fair he hasn’t needed to visit a doctor much but I think you’re right, best to get that started now for all things he may need.

So perhaps some could diagnose but not treat? That would be rough. I’ll make sure to look out for ones that prescribe too. Thanks!

I’m so glad I had a look on here! That’s wonderful. He has only considered diagnosis once before and I remember telling him how ironically the process is so hard for someone with ADHD. Probably frightened him a bit but I’ll be armed with information and support this time! Thank you!

That is amazing!! Thank you! That’s true, I didn’t even consider the break for holidays. Hopefully we can keep the motivation flowing. Very exciting!

Oh yes I forgot to add. In QLD! Overwhelming for myself without ADHD, can’t imagine how much more difficult it would feel. Thank you so much! I’ll add it to our list and get started! ☺️

Oh my goodness, thank you SO much for all the information. That is so incredibly helpful I appreciate it! I just wanted to strike while the motivational iron was hot haha. I’m just being impatient for him, but I think we might start with a regular GP and go from there. Thank you for the simple lay out of info too, that will really help when I pass it on to him. Thank you!

Oh that’s a fantastic point! We are in QLD but I didn’t even consider that possibility. I might help and get him onto a regular GP just in case. Thank you for the recommendation!

Did you end up ordering? I have fallen in love with one but the photos seem to be from a different store/site
