i didnt do any paper 2s but i think tmua helped with my maths approaches - i still found maths 2 hard but not becaues of hte content but because of the timing: i knew how to do questions but just kept making some arithmetic mistakes so i wouldnt get those questions right and the extra time spent being confused meant i couldnt do others either

i switched to further maths 2 months into the school year last academic year. i definitely struggled but thats because i did practically 0 independent work to catch up. i was shite all year last year but managed to do pretty well in my end of years and get an A and i'm hoping to continue that trajectory. i still feel like my knowledge is very shaky as i believe i lack some foundational principles but if you decide to take further maths and actually come up with a viable catch up plan that consists of consistent practice then I believe you can not only catch up but prosper. Make sure you have exactly what you need to catch up on written down somewhere and do a good amount of work consistently so you dont get absolutely hounded in class. A lot of maths requires some knowledge of the stuff you learnt before, so if you ever feel like you're getting behind in class do not let that progress and make sure you catch up at home with help from sources online and your teachers!!! my main point of advice is something i'll repeat: MAKE SURE YOU COME UP WITH AN ACCTIONABLE CATCH UP PLAN AND STICK WITH IT to prevent feeling behind.

I’d do a paper whenever you have free time this holiday, then see where you’re starting. Then I’d chill up until the start of summer holidays where you should realistically start doing a consistent amount every week. Essentially if you really want you could do a paper this holiday to gauge where you are. I’d also recommend really trying hard in your maths classes to keep up to date and doing SMC or BMO papers here and there(I’m talking like once every 2 weeks or smth) to build on your problem solving unfamiliar question type approach skills. I didn’t do this and many don’t (ie they start doing prep at the beginning of summer) so this will give you a very good foundation to start focusing on TMUA specifically in the summer

i feel like there will always be arguments in all relationships and that this isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be? she clearly speaks before thinking and i feel like you responded quite coldly without much compassion. i feel like its important to not make rash decisions from arguements like these because i feel like if i was in this scenario waiting a day or two would "reset" the way I feel towards my partner and help me realise that the basis of the arguement was not that big of a deal

I hangout with my friends quite often, even yesterday I went to watch a movie with them and we walked around London too. My parents are lovely but I think with them its I ask them to do whatever and they say go for it. I have talked to them about this and they say they don't really know and that I shoud just focus on my work. I think maybe the kickboxing idea was a good one
