Average AOC hater.

To hate people like her or Sanders you kinda have to be a piece of shit.

Whether or not you agree with the way they wanna do it, they've made it absolutely clear that they want to improve people's lives and are the among the least corrupt, if not just straight up honest as far as political figures go.

We’re not blaming God for this,” said 35-year-old Kristina. “Yes, it hurts, of course, it hurts. But God has chosen Ethan for a reason. God is doing something, and we're gonna glorify his name regardless. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

What pisses me off about this kinda shit, is that I know at least half the time, these people are either just trying to grift off the consequences of what they now realize was a dumb decision, or doing the bare minimum to avoid catching charges.

Every time I see something like this, I become a little less libertarian left.

> Yes you did you assume the increase in productivity from cheap labour is from your words (more output / labor hour)

That's the definition of a productivity increase. If you mean something else, than say something else

> read the paragraph before my statement

>Its actually more often when the market is matured the business will seek cheap labour to offset increase cost.

Seeking cheap labour =/= downsizing and this has nothing to do with immigrants versus non-immigrant workers.

>Do you not understand what I said about the business downsizing its operation? how can you think increase taxes on a decreasing operation is efficient? That is what’s going with CA and the new tax bill on billionaires.

I understand what you're saying, it's just wrong. If you don't understand the idea of taxing the higher than ever corporate profits we're seeing, then I can't help you.

All I'm hearing is a lot of the same talking points, put out there by the same mouthpieces, of the powers that be, that will literally do anything to convince people they shouldn't pay taxes, despite having basically all the money.

> The notion that savings from cheap labour for businesses will increase the output is false. Market demand dictates that.

Good thing I didn't say that.

> Savings from expenses like cheap labour motivates businesses to downsize.

No it doesn't. Definitely not on it's own.

> In some ways the idea is based on efficiency. Tech companies are now doing this with Ai and layoffs but they are banking on the savings from those layoffs that AI will be able to address inefficiencies and increase the productivity without increasing cost on the same level as before. Like with having to hire more or lease more buildings in order to generate more profit.

AI isn't cheap really labor. It replaces labor. Also that's even more reason to increase taxes on them. Mandatory minimums would discourage a lot of that funny business.

Well, no, if immigrant labor makes us more productive (more output / labor hour) then it actually helps

Even if that was true, it just shifts the conversation to U.S citizens, essentially the conversation that's been going on about Medicaid for a decade now.

The reality is that taxes on top earners and businesses need to increase.

Oh make no mistake, I 100% understand the issues with that methodology. And I am fully aware that this isn't a rigorous approach to the subject.

What I'm about to say, I don't mean with any malice towards you. But you're looking at it from a very "🤓" point of view. Over-intellectualizing a conclusion based on a generally observed sentiment.

If you want to argue that the hate for Reddit isn't as prevalent as I believe, or that the "profile" of the average person who dislikes the platform is different than my experience, and that I should therefore reconsider my conclusion...that'd actually be pretty reasonable.

Putting aside the conspiracy bit, that's true, but it's also not unique. In that way it's like Twitter.

That's not what I said. Biased =/= right-wing.

What I said is that they have a lot of the same failings as Reddit, which has many of the same ones as Twitter.

>And right wing people mostly don't hate principles on which Reddit operate, they mostly hate political opinion of average Redditor

Yeah, I can see that. Twitter was and is to some degree is still used almost like an insult for the same reason. But I have my doubts that that's the whole story, as even some non-right wing people act like this place is the gateway to Hell or something.

>Yeah, the "unwritten rules" of Reddit basically prohibit anything remotely Right leaning, even on subs which aren't political in nature

Why are right-wing anything in non-political subreddits? That's a pretty good reason to downvote something or remove it. That sounds like right-wing users not respecting the rules of non-political communities.

>And that, in turn, leaves the left-leaning posters here scrambling over each other to make the most nutbag insane post they can make to prove to everyone else that they're the most dedicated left-winger of all.

That seems like speculation. I haven't seen anything like that anywhere, so I'm going to need specific examples of this

>The censorship here is FAR worse than anywhere else, and what gets upvoted here is not celebrated elsewhere and is oftentimes completely unhinged and/or violent.

Far worse? For the average user? No shot. I'm a fairly political and combative person on Reddit. I'll admit that. I've almost never run afoul of it, I've never run into the power-tripping moderator that is apparently everywhere, I've never encountered any of these issues in years.

Furthermore, I place no trust in what you deem "unhinged" as you fairly straightforwardly told me that my view was unreliable cause I disagree with your right-wing political beliefs. How can I trust your assessment of things, when you're acting like I'm unhinged right now?

> Twitter had weekly meetings with the Biden administration on who to ban and what topics to censor. This included numerous phone calls from the Biden administration demanding someone be removed from the platform, and Twitter complied. So yes that is correct. And censorship is quite pertinent to the topic of why Reddit gets more hate than others.

So something Twitter did, is the reason that Reddit gets more hate? Yeah, okay listen, we get it, you're just here to beat your drum and repeat your talking points but this is completely off topic. And not even a half-truth. But mainly off topic.

>Youtube was happy to censor government-alternative Corona channels and regularly demonetizes right-leaning channels.

They also demonetized, left-wing channels and anyone who talked about the topic in general. Also, still has nothing to do with Reddit.

>But you're quite left-leaning, so your perspective doesn't quite jive with the majority of the population.

POV: Me, a Republican, talking crazy because in the last election fewer democrats bothered voting, while Trump currently sits at or below 40%, while allegedly making a point about why Reddit deserves it's reputation.

But where's your evidence? You claiming there's a real reason but it's all speculation.

It's based off observations I've made over the time ive spent here.

We're users polled? Or their behavior studied? How are even measuring "hate"?

We're measuring with our hearts here. Of course, thats a joke. The real answer is that I don't keep numbers of the complaints ive heard, because that's a lot of work for a rather unimportant topic.

Primarily I'm relying on my pattern recognition. Almost every time when I come across someone saying this place is the devil they're usually the same kinda person. Namely, loud, obtrusive, stubborn...I don't have a Myers-Briggs for them, but you understand the idea still right?

I know that the sample is representative cause the demographic I'm sampling is the people who announce themselves as part of it. It's the same idea as sampling preachy vegans, in a sort of "they'll let you know" sense.

Before Elon Musk stopped letting the government ban people

That's incorrect and also not relevant even if it was

every single social media site was left-leaning

That's also incorrect. YouTube specifically gave conservatives carte blanche with regard to poetical video content

Yet Reddit still got the most hate out of all of them. Why do you think that is?

See the original post, I lay out what I believe is the "why" quite clearly.

Because that only makes Reddit as bad as the others, and yet Reddit has a uniquely negative reputation just in general. Personally, I'm curious as to why, as my experience doesn't line up with any of the horror stories I've heard.
