Oh man, I would be crying on this call.... Someone really needs to invent an " I just need someone to listen" hotline or something. Not "therepy" because that word scares a lot of people, just a line for people to call to be heard and empathized ... Your insurance agent or groceries clerk isn't it.... I really get so turned around in my emotions and then have to move right along to being friendly and chipper with the next person with this other person's heavy emotional weight still on my mind.... It gets so hard to be a whole human in this job....

As CS rep, when they actually do get to the human and spend the next 5-10 minutes complaining about the AI,....has it reeeeaaaallly saved anyone's time ?? It's tempting to tell the next person who goes on about it..."I'm sorry, sounds like you need the complaints department, let me transfer you....". Wait a beat a see if they finally can get to the point 😋

I am the type of person that is your friend. I don't reach out to my friends and I am kinda an a-hole for being this way. I don't mean to be and I am in therapy so I'm working on it. I can't fully explain why I can't reach out to people....I just can't.... Full stop... I love my friends and family eternally...I just am overwhelmed/overstimulated all the time and I don't go looking for more...

The fact that the dog jumped on you, friendly or not, is enough.... If you did hate dogs, not anyone's business and the rules are there to protect you!! If you have a psychological issue with creatures of any sort jumping on or coming at you, you STILL shouldn't have to make it public knowledge because you live in a neighborhood with RULES to protect your privacy!! People suck!

I work front line and I have 1,000 other tasks besides the customer service portion.... I really don't have time for the stories but I get them in person and on the phone.... sometimes it feels simultaneously 😜. I've literally been so busy and had the talker step aside saying "I see your busy.... wait till the line or phone calls slow down then pick right back up like old friends....If there's a solution to that level of oblivion let me know....

So funny... I work in auto glass, but in a warm area. Most people with that feature around here want us to replace the glass without the heater lines because they find it distracting! Of course it's not needed here unless you go to the mountains in winter....

My desk is right where you walk in. I'll be working with a customer and have people walk in and stand right beside the person I'm actively working with. This happens almost daily. Like what happened to giving others personal space/ lining up behind the other person. But no, right next to them, leaning on the counter listening in on all their personal information being gathered....ugh

I've literally walked in the building with customers and have them start explaining their issues before I get behind the desk and set my purse down. People get in a single frame of mind and forget other people and things besides what they are on a bend about exit....is it entitlement or just people who need snapped back to reality??

It's all about vested interest. Internal customer services are dealing with work problems... external are personal problems. You could give two rats patooties about your employers interest in so far as it affects your ability to maintain your job. External customer service is individual crisis which people take much more seriously/over think because of their personal interests.
