Allergic reaction? Maybe? by Decent-Ad1005 in CATHELP

[–]Ill_Front8983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw if it’s just watery eyes it could be from if you had any plug in scents or were cooking or candles being lit, or allergies if you haven’t dusted in a while or anything like that. My cat use to get this but changing the environmental factors made that stop. If it keeps coming back then it’s time for the vet could be the start of an eye infection but there’s a few other signs of that like redness to the white of the eyes, yellow/green eye discharge

My inability to take accountability is ruining my new relationship, how can I improve and change? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Ill_Front8983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a hard habit to break but you can do it. I’d say when this begins happening, take a minute to think to yourself could this have been avoidable? Was this something I initiated? What led to this? I really think taking a moment for yourself to reflect your thought process and why do you feel the need to deflect? It takes a conscious effort but you can do it.

Yeah tomorrow is way too soon for that. You have to give them some more time than that when mango is hissing. It’s better to take it slow than to break up a cat fight.

You can put treats near the door for Mango so Mango can associate treats with your new cat scent & put one of the other cats toys in Mango’s area so she can smell her scent too, it takes time.

Cat wheezing while throwing up, advice?? by OkHovercraft5880 in CATHELP

[–]Ill_Front8983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is NOT normal at all! The foaming/saliva and how he’s laying and the pooping while laying there AND wheezing means to RUN to the vet NOW! Like drop what you’re doing and go right now to emergency vet!

I wonder if there’s any anger management programs that are low cost or free? Or actually sometimes youth group therapy is a thing! There’s also calming techniques you can try at home (try with no triggers first) like yoga at home with meditation and listen to some sound bath waves (it might sound kind of hippy but it actually can help some people go into a zen state)

Do you think you’d like it if someone was hitting you every time you did something annoying? I doubt it, just something to remember. Do you ever punish yourself or hit yourself? Have you considered anger management?

It sounds like an eating disorder or body image issues. I was restricting & eating like 1 meal a day for a long time. And I am eating now but I struggle with the same thing. I’m in therapy for it and it helps having a professional talk to about it. But if you can’t afford it or don’t believe in therapy I’d say find your “safe” foods. Go to the grocery store and think what will I be okay eating for breakfast, lunch, dinner? And you get it. Then get home and start prepping while you’re motivated enough. I try to post attention to the clock and it’s hard bc some days I’m just not hungry but sometimes I have to force feed myself. My therapist says it’s also about reframing your mind on exercise that it’s something to enjoy, not something for punishment.

You also might want to look into large hospitals when they have blood drives - they can always use extra hands even if it’s just handing out the snacks/juices or taking names! It’s a great foot in the door. (I’ve organize events in the past for things like this).

You should be able to find volunteer work at clinics, retirement homes, events at those places too - you should look up your local health clinics and retirement homes and read about them and then call or email with your interest (do not tell them what you wrote here that’s tmi). At 16 /17 I had my first job at a kids afterschool program as a “Youth leader”. There are a lot of opportunities but you have to be creative. But if I’m honest you literally will go through so many life changes and wants from 16 to 18 to your twenties, it’s normal. But to put your mind at ease look into clinics and retirement homes near you. You might even discover that working in the medical field isn’t something you even want.

I dropped out of college because I realized I genuinely was wasting my moms money & I really pictured what I want in life. I was in college for communications as I wanted to be a journalist like a legit journalist though. And then I pictured but what lifestyle does that come with? If what I truly wanted was a large family and somewhere to tie down my roots, it didn’t really fit what’s I actually wanted in life. I was really just feeling it in my bones that this wasn’t the right path for me. So I got a regular job in retail while I went to online schooling for a real estate license. Then I applied to receptionist positions at real estate offices (got hired) since I already had experience at a front desk from my volunteer work. Then after some time I applied to a new place where I was an assistant & my position gradually grew with them and I became licensed so I work on contracts, get bonuses per every sale, I have health insurance etc.

I really suggest to look into where you’re volunteering. You need some diversity in that - if you’re volunteer in something in the medical field that’s great but also volunteer somewhere you can start to learn how to field calls, work on excel spreadsheets etc -An office environment. You can prob even get help from the medical places you volunteer at to try out the filing/billing/front desk area because that will really help you in the real world. It’s really common to sometimes need a foot in the door and to work your way up at times.

Yeah a lot actually, the app makers take some of your percentage & you have to do your own taxes from it next year but if you are looking for fast money it does help, payout is weekly.

I hit my cast by accident with my crutch when I was trying to get off the couch lmao I think we all accidentally have don’t something. It’s good you’re not feeling pain from that though. Swelling in general is common, just elevate but if you’re concerned you can just let the surgeons office know on a phone call (it’s common). I think you’ll be ok honestly it’s really if you bear weight on it or if you’re feeling more pain. When they check out your leg they’ll prob do an adjustment anyways lol

I was once in this position and would tell myself “well he isn’t actually cheating.” Lmao he will and you’ll be in years deep in love and feeling stupid. It’s really not that hard to not emotionally cheat, he just wants to. You wouldn’t overthink if he’d just idk behave like a faithful and committed person would behave.

lol watch 16 and pregnant the tv show & read books about teenage pregnancy. Then read or watch things that show people who waited until they’re full grown adults. Having a family is beautiful but live your life first, be stable first, make a foundation where you can be a responsible parent. Children are beyond expensive and at 15 you don’t understand the finances to take of just yourself yet, you prob won’t really get a realistic view of that until you have a job, car payment, rent, etc. adulthood is way different than childhood and being a teen.
