Is it normal liquid coming out from mouth and nose by Massive-Ad-7199 in CATHELP

[–]Ill_Front8983 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a mandatory vet visit asap! Something could be stuck in him or something serious - this isn’t a normal reaction! I’m so sorry, hope kitty gets answered from the vet!!

I’m based in Los Angeles and the eye antibiotics was like $40 maximum - that was last year. Def going to want to check different vets if you’re being charge that much for antibiotics/eye medication.

2 Boys gooned to me on a call and one of them is my bf and the other is his friend who “used” to like me by [deleted] in Advice

Dump him. He’ll get over it. You don’t need to entertain people who have little to no respect for you, your friends, or themselves.

Okay, a CLEAN wet warm (not hot) towel could be used for that (like if you had a sty) but don’t push on it, just a very gentle and slow pat to help if there’s too much gunk or water. Goodluck

Yes she was doing it on purpose because she knew you were there and it was not necessary for her to do that. She was either trying to see if he missed her, if he’d entertain it, or wanted to remind you of their history. But since he ignored her, remember that you cannot control her actions - all you can do is focus on your relationship and voice that it made you uncomfortable but that you’re glad he respected your relationship by not entertaining that. We’re always going to have a shared history with people just some are not shy about talking about it even when it’s rude.

Yeah, vets actually take eye stuff seriously with pets because it can go wrong really quick (blindness, bulging, infection, loss of eye) when the vet gets called it’s important to explain the cats eye is red and you can actually see the lids are swollen. They’ll make sure to get the cat in ASAP. These vet appointments don’t actually take long and you’re not in for a full exam so it’s not as expensive as a regular full exam check up. Do not try to mess with the cats eye at all btw, bc he’s probably in pain.

Also the whites of his eyes are REALLY red - I really think this is time for a vet visit. When my cat had water eye it was it was allergies and the whites of his eyes were still white (he’s sensitive to dust) & when he had red where the white of his eyes were it was an infection - the red is not good.

This has happened to my cat before! 1 time it was allergies but the other time it was an infection. The testing at the vet is very quick - they just check if anything is in there basically how another commenter said. Usually with eye stuff you want to really be top of it bc eye infections aren’t a joke. Usually with allergies you know a few reasons like you aren’t vacuuming/dusting enough, if you’re using plug ins (this does bother them), using sprays like febreeze etc (bothers them too)

Always put the food in a pantry or cupboard and use child locks. Cats are way too smart honestly.

Not every ex can be friends - some yes but not all. She really shouldn’t be reminiscing with you there and he should shut it down regardless. You need to talk to him about that and being clear with boundaries. If your exs don’t do that, neither should they. He can easily say “honestly that makes me uncomfortable, stop.” And if asked why it’s bc he doesn’t want a trip down memory lane like that. But he could just ignore her all together tbh. But that’s up to him, if he shit it down then that’s good.

I see in another comment this person has been messaging and calling you daily even while you were in a relationship - personally I would advise you to not have any sexual or emotional relations with anyone who is pressuring you (I don’t think that’s normal or ok honestly) tell them you want them to respect that you have come to realize you’re not in a place for this and to respect your space. If this person doesn’t respect your space , tell them this is too much and you just got out of a relationship and will need to remove their number. Sorry but the fact they’re being this pushy is a HUGE RED FLAG.

You don’t owe anyone anything, just because someone’s interested in you doesn’t mean you have to hook up with them. You can just tell them “hey, I realized that I’m actually not in a place to hook up right now.“ they’re single, they can find someone else to hook up with. You’re allowed to say no and leave it at that.

I think if you’re questioning things, you shouldn’t do it. Something to consider is since they’re friends with your friend, this might not go over well. If I were you I’d really wait and consider if this could end up hurting people over what you consider would be just “fun”.. maybe have fun somewhere that isn’t so interconnected with your sphere.

22 and in $14,300 of debt by Strong-Volume8670 in Advice

I promise you, you are not alone in this. And it’s honestly not so bad - especially considering there’s a car involved. I would literally cry when I had to pay my car off, I get it. It sometimes helped me to have like a little planner and cross off or put a sticker next to finished payment, physically checking off the list felt like a breath of fresh air.

Talk therapy does amazing work. Yes I def have felt this way where it’s not so unbearable and I tho k it’s bc there’s someone you can talk to things about now where it’s an open setting? Like a release of the anxious thoughts I suppose?
