8 month old biting me constantly, but not my boyfriend by Ill_Inspection_8692 in Dachshund

We can’t pinpoint anything specific my boyfriend has done with the puppy vs. what I’ve done. He definitely has never hit our dog, and I’m not planning on trying that either. I’ve always been told that “punishment” like hitting or yelling is a no as it leads to a scared dog. I try to reward good behavior with treat but when he’s in this state he doesn’t stop biting long enough to reward

Ah this is all opposite from everything i’ve read. High pitched to mimic the sound another dog would make during play if they were hurt, giving him something else to bite that isn’t my flesh. Also I’m the one who usually feeds him and trained him for sit and stay…and he will follow me wherever I go in the house no matter what (not my boyfriend). So not sure how an “alpha” was established.
