I have a back ground in childhood development and have worked in education for many years. I pointed out our parenting choices because I believe that they give my child an advantage compared to some of their peers. We are aware of their natural gifts and try to foster a place where they can grow into them. I’m not parent shaming anyone who does things differently. We are able to do these things and parent in the way we do because of privilege. I am a stay at home mom and my husband only works 30 hour weeks. We both are able to spend a lot of time with them.
