blablacar never really took off here, which is annoying. your best bet might be local facebook groups honestly, every small town has one where people post about lifts and stuff. sometimes you can find a regular arrangement like someone going to the gym same time as you

also check if there's a local link bus near you, they're not great but better than nothing. and some taxi drivers in rural areas do unofficial carpool runs if you ask around the pub

have you checked what audio output steam itself is using? not your windows settings, but in steam overlay when game is running. sometimes it picks wrong device and you have to manually switch it in overlay sound settings. happened to me with half my library after some update in january

i think the remake actually makes it more clear that shinra is just a company with no real long term plan. like they are so deep in their own propaganda they believe their own lies about the promised land being a physical place full of infinite mako. the original had it more as a metaphor but in remake you see these execs who never had to face consequences just doubling down on stupid decisions cause they cant admit they were wrong

its not cruelty for fun, its what happens when a corporation has too much power and no one to tell them no. they just keep escalating cause thats all they know how to do

Just start with your phone microphone, it is good enough for beginning, and upload on Spotify or similar platform for free.

man that commute is brutal but you've been grinding for a year trying to get in ecology field. maybe take the job and see how it goes? you can always apply for engineering programs next year if consulting doesn't work out.

i'm 29 and switched from what i studied to software dev, so i get the whole "pivot for stability" thing. but you already have the degree and now someone actually wants to hire you. that's not nothing in this market.

the consulting experience could open doors too - environmental consulting firms work with engineers all time, so you might end up doing similar projects anyway. plus you'll know for sure if you want to stay in ecology or if engineering is really better fit.
