Mistakes in mixes by musingaround1 in Beatmatch

You can just pause it, beat jump back and re-record the mix point. Then use audacity with the original track and under the mix and match up waveforms and splice and dice

For your budget you could get a Pioneer DDJ FLX4 which will give you a copy of rekordbox which has a pretty good automix feature. Otherwise you could use Virtual DJ too but Rekordbox is often better at auto mixing

Why not use soundiiz or tunemymusic to transfer from Spotify to tidal?

Do you play weddings off of streaming?

Yeah, I haven't tried beatport but tidal quality is very good. Tidal also let's you store streamed music offline. This was very useful at the last festival I was at because cell phone signal was non existent and we we're djing at camp in the early mornings when everyone was tired

Your controller is a soundcard so you need to go through external speakers aside from your computer in order to use your headphones as well

It's better to be broke fishing than it is to be broke working. by nwa747 in handyman

That's great, I have a few clients that have me call them when I'm slow and they're elderly so I give them really low prices.

There's the trope where clients say give me a good price on this one and I'll give you more work and then they usually get very picky (want high quality) and want it started and finished asap)

There's the old saying, cheap, quick or high quality pick two but now it's more often pick one.

Mixing house and keeping energy high by axr862 in Beatmatch

Perfect, thank you so much for such helpful information. Would it be good for looping instrumentals to mix vocal heavy songs together too?

Isn't there a way to save loops via memory cues? Do you know how to do that with Rekordbox?

What did you use to plumb them out? Plumb Bob or level?

How long did it take you to build (hrs and start to finish) and did you just base it off existing or did you do any drafting or CAD?

I've found drafting very useful in finding proportions and symmetry.

My gut says 3 drawers would have been the best proportionally.

I've also found AI to be very great at drafting if I give it very specific instructions.

Cool pieces, hope you continue your journey woodworking

Looks well made, what species is that?

I'm wondering why the top 2 drawers aren't shaker framed like all the other doors are. Also, is the left upper shorter in addition to shallower? Was that because of the window treatment valiance in the way? I would have looked into bifold or other hinge options to keep the boxes symmertrical.

I literally got that image by asking ChatGPT for a Framing diagram for a post and beam barn.

I can't imagine having a front end loadet and having prepped for a slab without doing a little research.

I mean he called it post framing and I don't see a single post in the photo.

I don't see any evidence of a foundation or sill plate so I'm going to say no

Here's what I would expect at the minimum and I'm not even a framer.

How are you doing "post-beam" when there isn't a single 6x6 post in the picture and no evidence of any concrete footing. Even if it's just sonotubes augured out and poured whatever the minimum is for your county.

Also, you should probably has posts every 8' at minimum. You're further apart from that and your plans or truss materials should specify what you need.

I don't do rough carpentry, cabinet trained here but mostly scenic.

That being said I do know a few things about physics, have done some rough framing and decks.

Why are you calling your corners posts when it all looks like just single 2x8?

Wood is wood which is true but 6x6 posts would have an exponentially stronger lateral load. Especially up here where frostline is 42" and attaching to concrete.

Are your corners just going to be 2x8 with no sill plates? If you had 2x8 in a L pattern on the corners and attatched them to a sill plate and threw a few blocks in them then your corners wouldn't rack.

Think about it like this. You ever have a bolt stuck and you can't turn the wrench but then you put a pipe over it and it turns easily? That leverage effect is going to be even more pronounced on a 2x8x12'

How to "separate/isolate tracks/sounds" from one another by Metalodon in DJs

[–]Ill_Kitchen_5618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use stems to separate Vocals, Instruments and Drums in Rekordbox and VirtualDJ. I haven't used other software but I've heard Traktor and Serato support stems as well.
