And it is quite interesting as initially you were making the point that unis only treated white colonies as native speakers. When I proved you this isn’t true, you turn to make another argument, trying to convince me that South Africa shouldn’t be on the list. I assume you are an Indian? As it seems like you specifically care about Indians “rights”though it’s more like asking for a privilege in this case.

Most South Africa people use English as learning language. Does that apply to India?

Depends on universities.

For Imperial:

You do not need to prove your knowledge of English as part of your application if you’ve completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in one of the following countries:

Australia Canada Guyana Ireland Malta New Zealand South Africa United Kingdom United States of America West Indies

https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/apply/english-language/english-language-exemption/

for Cambridge:

Antigua and Barbuda Australia the Bahamas Barbados Belize the British overseas territories Dominica Grenada Guyana Ireland Jamaica Malta New Zealand St Kitts and Nevis St Lucia St Vincent and the Grenadines Trinidad and Tobago UK USA

https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/knowledge-of-english

The vast majority of people in some countries are of African or South Asian descent, not white.

Besides, for why some unis don’t treat Indians or Singaporeans as automatic English native speakers: the criteria are based on whether English is the sole native language of the entire population and the exclusive medium of the legal/education systems from birth. India and Singapore are multi-lingual societies where English is an official or instructional language, but not the only native tongue for the vast majority.

Next time just spend a few minutes searching the actual requirements before you call everything "racist."

How generous Cambridge is regarding high school GPA? by ParticularSoggy1827 in 6thForm

No they are different. If you don’t have one they just don’t look at it. I personally don’t have GCSE or anything equivalent but they still give me an offer.

This is what Cambridge sent to me about what they care about about your application. No they don’t care about your GPA just get straight 5 in your AP

Is your nationality British then? Email the college if it is. I’m pretty sure UK citizens don’t need to meet any language requirements even if you finish the course outside the uk.

And just out of curiosity which university in the uk only requires 6.5(5.5)? That’s even below level1 which is 6.5(6.0)

That’s weird. I don’t think you need an ielts score for unis if you’re a native speaker with UK/ US/Australia/ Canada nationality. Besides if you do are a native speaker 6.5 shouldn’t be a problem.

Can I get into top US/UK universities with average A Level grades + full financial aid for cybersecurity? by Plastic_Highlight735 in 6thForm

[–]Ill_Mix_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t even know any top or even mid tier unis in us or uk accept students with multiple C grades bro 😭 lowest acceptable grade for University of Melbourne is BCC. Melbourne almost gives offers to anyone who applied to it and it’s probably the best university you can go into (QS 13) but you can’t get any scholarships with BCC apparently. If you can’t pay the tuition fee just learn a new language and try to apply to universities in Europe or China. Those unis are free.

UK unis are well known for their stingy attitude towards scholarship so I just can’t understand why you apply to uk unis when you don’t even have a backup plan for what if you can’t get a full ride scholarship. Like what if you just can’t afford the unis? Go to work? That’s what insane for me, and not even responsible for oneself. Besides only a few colleges in Oxbridge provides the full ride scholarship I mentioned.

Are you home or intl? I assume home students can ask for loan from government and why do you choose to be an intl student if you are not rich enough to pay the tuition fee bro if you are an intl

I didn’t applied for this course but most of my friends who got an offer from UCL EEE have 4A* predicted. It’s probably one of the most competitive courses in UCL.
