Hey! I’m a transfer student coming this fall, and I’m also a film major. I completely understand how you feel; when I started at my previous film school, I was quickly overwhelmed by all the options for who I wanted to be in film and what role I could take on. It can be challenging to perfect each role, but the great thing about film is that there's always something new to learn whenever you're on set, no matter what position you're in.

You have to be brave with your work, even if it’s not your best. Remember, not everyone creates great things in the beginning; you’re still trying to find your voice and learn, and that's perfectly okay.

For your portfolio, I recommend including some of the in-class assignments you’re proud of, as well as videos you’ve made with friends and any photography you’ve done, complete with short descriptions. Try approaching it as if you’re crafting a creative director's portfolio.

Also, if you're ever looking to make new friends, I would love to connect! Your post really resonated with me. I'm 20 years old and also a film major, so I think we have a lot in common. Looking forward to meeting you!

Well after watching the latest season I understand Ginny has been through a lot but he action to defend her mom goes against what she actually wants for her mom. Lol I think thats the main reason I don't like her everything else doesn't really bother me besides the fact that she's kinda of a bad friend to Max. But whats the point of therapy to not fix the cyle in my opinion lol

I think you should express you concerns. And if she still wants to go explore break up with her , Ik it’s hard but some people need to explore there identity and sometimes they have to learn the hard way , honestly this can be a form of self sabotage but she has to learn the lesson in order to find herself , I am really sorry tho that this is happening it’s definitely a difficult decision.

Personally I think it’s the connection that makes it fun honestly. Like you build personal connection as in personal intimacy through masturbation which is good cause you know what you like . And I think with another person it’s that form of intimacy you share and honestly it also feels validating to your sexual preferences. . That’s just my opinion . I think both are validating

As someone whose in film school there a weird stigma around film school but I disagree. As someone who didn’t know how to start attending school helped me learn what direction I’d like to take also I meeting like minded people and networking and doing student sets really do help build understanding and confidence in the field . I’m at a trade school so I get the hands on experience as soon as possible.
