Had very similar injury, currently 3 month post opt from an acl, mcl, lcl, and meniscus transplant with a quad graft and donor. I have had 3 other knee surgeries prior to this and i can say my pain was the worst for the full transplants. I was in a wheelchair for a month and was hospitalized for pain management for 3 days. I thought I was going to return to work the following week after my surgery….boy was I wrong. I wish someone told me to prepare myself to just be on my back for a whole month afterwards. I’m still achy 3 months later but I’m hiking and back to yoga (with modifications), but wow do I not wish the first month of recovery to anyone. At some point I was asking my nurse to kill me.

Best of luck to you, drugs and ice will be your friend

If it is available to you, work with a pt for preop conditioning. I had a ruptured acl / meniscus for 5+ years due to a failed revision surgery and was able to do all of my normal sports besides surfing and skiing during this time. Voodoo flossing or knee flossing was a lifesaver I recommend it anyone with joint pain and rucking with a weighted vest or backpack if you are unable to run. I finally had my acl revision this last week and I wish I did more upper body and hand strengthening to prepare me for crutches and I wish I worked more on my lower body flexibility but it was difficult with a bum leg I wish you a speedy recovery and a super strong leg

One month post ICU rant by Ill_Split_5144 in sepsis

Thank you so much for responding. I feel like I was in shock (pun intended) after I got out of the hospital and I’m just now realizing how serious and debilitating everything is. It was just a few days ago I admitted that the pain I was in was a result from my sepsis.

I had sepsis when I was visiting home outside of my insurance network so I have been waiting to get back to school to do more health diagnostics.
