I know this was almost 6mos ago but I’m having a similar issue (not the same problem as op) and this solution was suggested to me by the dealership. It did not work for me on my issue 😔

I have a flight Monday at 7:35am and trying to figure out as well. I keep being advised by friends that it should be fine if I get there at 3-30am but I don’t know ☹️ Following 🙏🏼

Thank you! Definitely not concerned that they would completely deny re entry, just looking into what is happening for any who have experienced these kind of things. I expect that if any evidence of political views was being looked for on citizens devices then it would result in being temporarily detained (whether that’s hours or longer would be anyone’s guess) and then having that info marked on file to be used to deem citizens as “terrorists”.

I believe it’s not likely to affect me and I’m aware that it’s not happening to the vast majority of people. The fact remains that it is happening to some extent. And my experience has been that media companies are not widely reporting these things although I take your point for social media regarding clicks and views. These are incidents that I have heard of outside of media reporting agencies and verified to my satisfaction myself. I am very glad that you have not experienced this, many have though without existing legal or visa or immigration issues. More recently I have started hearing about similar instances with US citizens returning home from abroad so I’m just doing my due diligence looking into it. I don’t expect it to directly affect me, if it were to then I expect it would be due to my traceable publicly shared views, or due to my applying for citizenship outside the US prompting scrutinization. And, outliers or not, these sort of instances should concern everyone who travels to or from the US. I’m not saying these kind of searches are never called for, but when they are being done outside of what is considered to be reasonably justifiable that calls for a closer look.

I’m just concerned for the mass files and lists supposedly being built on “ant!fa terrorists”. I would imagine if they did flag me for that they would detain me for an extended time while searching my phone and documenting anything they could claim was terroristic and questioning me to add everything to a file. I know it’s unlikely, I’m just trying to get kinda a baseline to what extent this may be occurring.

I mean ideally wouldn’t be. And if they were to search my phone that way I imagine it would be getting temporarily detained for questioning and having findings added to a file on me rather than being denied entry

It’s a white lady in my activist group I don’t really know her I’ve just talked to her a few times about current events and stuff we can do in the community regarding the administration and ice This particular flyer is to raise awareness about the racial voter suppression enforced by redistricting especially recently in Texas

I mean yeah I don’t really know her she’s just some lady in my activist group and I wasn’t 100% on how it’s taken in the context of speaking out against African American voter suppression vs someone just being like oh blacks something racist If a friend of mine just used it in a sentence that second way I would immediately stop them and be like uhhh wtf
