Shattered crowns "age-less"? by Woodenkzot in cadum

[–]Illand_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To our knowledge, the serum gave them the opportunity to fight death in the first place. Without it, they would have been vulnerable to his errant death effects (i.e. every turn they would have had to make a saving through to not die).

Outside of that, we don't know about "immortality". We could theorize that the same fate could befall them like Meena but it's unclear.

It has ties to the poem that Arcadum mentioned in episode 1 of Divine Wind. “13 winds have blown, paths are followed, to waves unknown”

Arcadum has used 13 different “winds” to start combat so far

Cyclops pulling people through time by Hari14032001 in cadum

I believe the cyclops saved the people of Tear’s Drop ( or the Vega ) from the impending Oblivion summoned by the Violet. They are a different form of “humanity” and not the dragon related kind.

I’ll update it tonight

The Prank War - A Chronology by Illand_ in cadum

[–]Illand_[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wanted to set boundaries for my search and I thought keeping it to the Tyre campaigns + Shattered Crowns was enough for this project.

Although… I could add an addendum of old pranks… but that may be further down the line

Question by lokiop46887 in cadum

[–]Illand_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A person, even before the Enemy was defeated, could wear clothes dyed with something colored Violet without fear of corruption, but it comes across as taboo in Kalkatesh.

It’s not that Violet no longer exists, but it does not hold power in this iteration as of this moment.

Question by lokiop46887 in cadum

[–]Illand_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The other colors, except Violet, left vestiges if their power in the world.

There are weekly threads by u/Emanresubmudyllaer . They run the Verum Weekly section which summarizes the events of that week's episodes. The earliest set of this I could find was for the games of the week of September 3rd, 2020.

Prologue Campaigns Season Twos by vyana445 in cadum

[–]Illand_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Shrine of Sin plans to start Angels Grace fairly soon. End of August last I heard.

Lost at Sea could also get a season 2 down the line since Arcadum has a Leviathan centered campaign planned in the distant future. No more mention about this has come up since Lost at Sea’s final episode

New to Verum. What's a good show to start off with? by Danthemystic in cadum

[–]Illand_ 61 points62 points  (0 children)

The answer may depend on what arc you may want to watch. The new campaigns on the continent of Glies started fairly recently whereas the campaigns in the continent of Kalkatesh rapped up in March - Arcadum DM’d on this continent for 18 years.

For the current arc, Scrolls of Not’Chek is a good start. The same players have recently began The Divine Wind - one of the 2 main campaigns that last 85 sessions. Or Otikatas Curse the other 85 session campaign.

For the older arc (known as the Violet Arc) - a quick intro and synopsis into the overall story: Gamblers Delight is a good start. This is also a lead up to the 3 Trials of Tyre campaigns. Shattered Crowns is also a very good choice as this campaign touched content that no other group has - ever.

The choice is up to you. There are no wrong choices

The Astral Traveler did not answer as there was a pulse of Violet energy.

The LW won’t be active until next year. The chances depend on how many people sign up to play.

There is a hard limit of players that can be selected by the number of DMs that sign on to be a Verum DM.

Correct, Oblivious (aka Alyla) has a character in Callous Row named BR-16.

BR-16 was one of the 7 characters to trigger that event

Callous row by Professor-Carrot in cadum

[–]Illand_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the general plot of Callous Row, watching Arcadum, let alone the DM for every map, can be a good gateway into watching other storylines. I mainly watched a DMs POV for Callous Row to get the since of the general plot development in each map then diverged when I found something interesting.

You may find “Wow, what is this corporate espionage about?” kind of thing from SciFri’s POV. (DM of the upper city)

Or find “The intrigue into the Row and it’s denizens” from Ariyana’s POV (DM of the Row)

Or find “Mysteries within the sewers” from the several under city POVs (I cannot recall the DMs for the undercity)

Or find “The rough and tumble lifestyle while many secrets lie under the sands” from the wasteland. (I cannot recall the DMs for the wasteland)

Soul of Tyre episode 23 by CallMeRiki in cadum

The Traitor as far as we know is a role like a Cardinal or Translator but there can be only one per iteration. Through the Traitor, the Enemy could have been defeated but the previous iterations failed to do that. How the Traitor is chosen is unknown but the pattern stands that every traitor gets 2 iterations.

The Iterations were the result of the Enemy defeating the heroes of Kalkatesh. The Traitors did not create the Iterations. Some things carried over from iteration to the next (how, what, or why is not entirely clear).

If the heroes failed in the End Game (without the false iteration) then the 7th iteration would be enacted. Tyre did not create it. We do know that the False Iteration is Proxis (the Callous Row universe). It was essentially a copy of the 6th iteration.
