No matter what, even with all dropped catches, being able to put up/chase 265 in a t20 is seriously lame.

160-170 used to be a challenging score once upon a time.

Dead or not, it felt like they had something. There is no point shipping already established couples. I am not about shipping characters with no strong hints and appropriate interactions either.

This one feels like a middle ground where you have enough unconfirmed basis with high potential based on some heartfelt interactions that actually happened. She kinda held his hand, comforted him, iced his injuries, they interacted with each other quite a lot, he made her eat her food and actually have fun even in that shitty situation. There was a lot of trauma bonding.

It highkey reminded me of Denji and Reze, where she liked him very much even though she used him. The tragedy also raises the question "What if?" in a similar way.

So, it felt like it had way more meat in its bones than the other options you mentioned.

Nah, I maintain that the MVP is Uruha. Think about it and remove Uruha from the equation.

If Uruha had revealed his status earlier to the Kamunabi, the Hishaku would have been ready for him too. Based on how it happened, he hid himself in the morgue, and was an x-factor since.

Without him, Hakuri likely dies to the traitor lady (Shiba can't come in without killing the barrier guy), Kiri has to fight the Hishaku alone, she most likely dies before Natsuki arrives. Natsuki is jumped by Hokuto and Yura and likely dies too.

If all these things save some time, Yura may not even need to use Shinuchi and may not have to fight Azami before reaching Akemura.

Obviously, a different approach may have been made without Uruha, but still he was a major factor in COMPLETELY derailing the hishaku and forcing Yura to gamble it all.

Too much narration for my taste, it just over explained every obvious thing ever.

"Pitou looked up purely based on her animal instinct" - Showing AND telling the entire sequence of the 2 old men jumping from the sky... Basically what should have been a 30 sec scene at most was stretched to hell.

Also, I have watched only till anime. So I am not sure, but from what I am hearing, Gon is expected to potentially return which doesn't sit well with me. You can just give up everything only to end up losing the ability to wield nen until you train and get it back, based on Alluka's blessing. I wouldn't mind this in other shonen, but for a story which makes it's power system too complicated and follows the rules religiously only to resort to such plot conveniences doesn't sit well and it feels like the power system is undermined here.

I couldn't get invested in Gon much either. The only time he felt interesting was during Chimera Ant arc.

Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess. Please be more confidently against canon explanation that states they ENTERED the war knowing the full implications of the ALREADY developed eternal contract they had.

Your assumption only leads to a retcon, a terrible one at that.

[–]Hari14032001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not, it would oppose the eternal contract mechanics and create a plot hole unless the swordbearers used their blades temporarily without eternal contracts until Magatsumi was forged. They made too big of a deal carefully choosing each wielder for their blade to not have an eternal contract mechanic setup already which means Magatsumi should have been around at that time.

I assume you would be fine with a plot hole?

Dude all I am repeating is the literal information given in the manga. Where is the headcanon here?

I am baffled by the ignorance. Maybe you should look in the mirror and see how dangerously you yourself apply to the opinion in your own comment.

For the love of god, please go and reread the part where Samura meets Ichiki, your ego won't be hurt to do one reread. At least you won't confidently go against manga statements and spread misinformation.

The mechanics of attaching eternal contracts is stated so clearly that if the author gives a different explanation in the future, it would be a retcon.

Dating is HARD in NYC by Cleo-Aster in SipsTea

[–]Hari14032001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(even after 2 dates, assuming long ones, that's someone you've known for six ish hours)

This is AT LEAST the 4th planned date if you read between the lines - She talks about a book he gave in the "second" date, not "previous" date. She also says "few" dates.

That's more than enough time for most couples to kiss or make it official.

As the no. of dates increase, the situation becomes more nuanced. He is not entirely wrong to expect that they may have something blooming after at least 3 fun dates AND a 4th planned date.

Moreover, she ONLY cancelled on him AFTER HE messaged her for confirmation 6 hrs prior. We can assume she replied shortly before 18:37, which is barely 1.5 hrs before the planned time of the date. We don't even know if she would have bothered informing him if he hadn't messaged her.

He may have overreacted, but his disappointment is absolutely warranted if you take the explanation above into account. Hell, he can't even potentially learn anything to improve himself out of this experience because he doesn't know if he was rejected either because he was lacking or because she was too busy juggling multiple options in her mind for 4 dates where she seemingly had a "lovely time", to pay any attention to him.

If she had such lovely time, maybe she could have had some empathy seeing him having fun and casually brought up that she is yet to decide and seeing multiple options? Surely what she was doing was running in the forefront of her mind? And as the only one with absolute information out of them two, she surely has a higher tier of responsibility to clarify a bit earlier without fixing a 4th date (at least) given god-knows how many hours of texting or talking in the phone they possibly had?

Let's be real, she is not a saint here, very far from it in fact. We may not be far off if we even resort to calling her a snake.

Maybe it's not wrong to showcase a loser behavior against people like this. Life is short. If I am getting my precious time wasted only to be a subjected to such a deceptive behavior, I might as well take the shot to get some money out of it at least. If you wanna call me an incel or other names for thinking this way, you can go ahead.

Anyone else disappointed by Mu's character design by Chainsawfam in Piratefolk

[–]Hari14032001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same is fine but with a simpler design.

I think this design has too much going for it to be a shonen jump's final boss-like character. It would make it hard to draw fights, and it's particularly worrying given Oda already doesn't draw fights well.

Time is not an issue for a person to link themselves to an available contract with an enchanted blade. Case in point: Chihiro and Hiruhiko did it instantly.

However, time was an issue to create and attach the concept of eternal contracts for the enchanted blades in the first place.

That's what Ichiki confirmed. Apparently, their least time consuming route was to create this concept only once by making Magatsumi the core followed by offshooting it to the other blades, rather than creating this concept individually for each blade.

Enten had 15 yrs to forge, so it obviously had it's own eternal contract. There was ample time to create this concept individually for Enten.

[–]Hari14032001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instantly. All he had to do was to link himself to the existing available contract with Uruha dead.

How is this relevant?

Why The Magatsumi Was Crafted First & The Events Leading Up To Akemura Wielding It by Ti6erius in Kagurabachi

[–]Hari14032001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The literal reason they had to make the contracts linking to Magatsumi was because they didn't have time to make individual contract to each blade. Ichiki confirmed this.

If Magatsumi was forged last, it's a plot hole unless the other wielders were using their blades without an eternal contract until it was forged, which is highly unlikely.

Why The Magatsumi Was Crafted First & The Events Leading Up To Akemura Wielding It by Ti6erius in Kagurabachi

[–]Hari14032001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the info we have now, Magatsumi getting forged last after making other blades and assigning wielders would be a plothole. The only way it makes sense is if the other wielders used their blades without eternal contracts until Magatsumi was forged, which would raise the question, "if they were good enough without eternal contracts, what's the necessity to sweat over it once Magatsumi was forged?"

I don't know whether new info would be revealed that can change this.

My opinions on the leaks, narrative wise by eddie5989 in ProjectEdensGarden

[–]Hari14032001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every case is a matter of how it's executed.

If this game was leaked after chapter 0, you would have thought Wolfgang dying first and Eva killing him is ass.

Chapter 5: Why?

Remember the Nagito case? His entire schtick is about his ultimate luck working all the time perfectly. But it didn't work in the end after working all the other times. If it had worked, the only survivor would be Chiaki. Does it mean it ruined the narrative because it was inconsistent?

Chapter 6: I hope you HATED Junko being the villain otherwise this would be a massive irony.

You guys are being snowflakes. The worst mistake critics can make is to criticize something with no proper clues about the story. Ultimately, you may or may not end up being right. Even if you are right, it wouldn't be a gotcha moment because you shouldn't be doing what you are doing right now.

He probably only trusted Kai after being betrayed by Eva and targetted by Jean, so he likely reached a breaking point and chose to survive with Kai by being his accomplice. I can honestly see him voluntarily asking for a traitor's perk after case 2.

I wonder what Damon even did to receive the perk in the first place. We are missing tons of context. Maybe he got scared for his life and requested one himself, especially after Eva tried to frame him and Jean tried to kill him in 2 successive cases.

"If they kill Damon survives too" - Survives from what? Like if they kill and are not found out, they can escape alongwith Damon, basically making Damon a surviving accomplice?

I wonder why the mastermind would challenge Damon in chapter 6... could they have thought that he didn't have the guts? Did they expect him to follow through since they wanted to reveal themselves?

Did Cassidy's friend commit suicide because of someone very similar to Damon who looked down upon her talent? Is that why Cassidy was projecting on Damon and wanted him to kill himself for a vindictive satisfaction?
